Suzy, yes, you are right, some patients would not ask for pain meds cause they would fall asleep on their visitors. AND I found many people do not want to admit to pain, they think of it as a weakness. someone in their family or aquaintence is very stoic, and they want to be the same.

I hope Ebob is better when she wakes today. Sending good healthy fairy dust to her. I loved the statement, there was evidence her father had been up with her. I find Al tracks often and can tell what he has been doing. Must be a Mom kind of thing, Mom radar.

Substances harvested from cannabis plants could soon outshine conventional antibiotics in the escalating battle against drug-resistant bacteria. The compounds, called cannabinoids, appear to be unaffected by the mechanism that superbugs like MRSA use to evade existing antibiotics. Scientists from Italy and the United Kingdom, who published their research in the Journal of Natural Products last month, say that cannabis-based creams could also be developed to treat persistent skin infections.

The ones that don't give you a high work the best! Still a long way to go in the development though.

HI Vici and Heidi and Suzy. I might need to borrow your stool to keep me awake, I remembered to check the clock today for pain meds at least every 8 hours, and at 8 hours was getting uncomfortable. Now I am medication sleepy. I think tomorrow I might cut that tablet again, back to my normal 1/4 of a pill for pain!

it is too late for a nap, and too early for nite nite, maybe a doze in my recliner?

SUZY, thanks for the blurb about the new antibiotic from canabionoids. Most interesting. We were running out of new ways to treat MRSA. Was the article you were reading online? would like to learn more if you have a link. Thanks for the info, most interesting. Let me run out and find some "weed" fore the revenuers burn it all!

Out to feed the critters now. My short vacation is almost at an end. IH has been gone for 26 hours, but will be back any minute. It's been so restful here, too.

I'm watching a music video on tv at the mo, 'Welcome to my life', I think it's by Green Day. It made me remember two separate incidents with Ally this past week. One of the girls who has been giving her a hard time was also bullying other girls. They all rebelled at the same time and this girl was left to sit alone for a few days. Ally was concerned about her!

Another girl is leaving the school. Ally is concerned about that girl's friend who will now have noone to talk to. This girl is the one who called her those lovely names and left her sobbing so hard I thought she would break.

What a girl I have.

Suzy... I gotta read that as soon as I come back in. I've always felt that Cannabis should be legalized for medicinal use - prescription only. Or just treated the same as alcohol. Tho' it doesn't cause as much harm as alcohol.

WOW, seems to be a hot news topic, I found an article on WebMD, and many others I have not yet checked out. Huumm, wish i could get my hands on the Journal of Natural Products, I prefer to go to the original when I can. Most interesting reading. But many reputable sites are running articles on it , so it seems it is not junk science. Britich Journal of Pharmocology, ABC news, The New York Times all came up on a search. I find this most encouraging, as we had had no really new antibiotic, something that worked on a different part of bacterial reproduction, in over 30 years. It is about time! YEAH, better living through modern chemistry!

Suzy, I am retiring to my recliner, giving in to the flow. If I am sleepy, might be I need a rest. body is working hard to repair, both surgical site and the damage done by needles in spinal column. OH, I need vitamine C for a while also, hope we have some in the med cabinet.

Vitamine C is the catalyst for the building of new tissue, the "repair vitamine". I should have started it fore surgery, but guess I cannot remember everything. No wonder I have been craving strawberries, huumm, have some frozen, will thaw and serve for desert. maybe opening a big of berries and putting a few into a bowl will not be considered housework?? Promise, if I get tired, will stop and rest (BAD TRICIA, go to the naughty corner hehehe)

No wonder I was so well during my hippy years!!!

I just had to go over to 5 and grab my old chair. The new one will be over in a minute.
I also grabbed the hot beverage , all the that were in the cupboard and the last of the from the fridge!
And I aslo grabbed my sign for just in case!
