Posting without reading. I just received this from a friend, and have to pass it on. No author was credited with this.
Quote for the day:
"Whatever you give a woman, she's going to multiply.
If you give her sperm, she'll give you a baby.
If you give her a house, she'll give you a home. If you give her groceries, she'll give you a meal.
If you give her a smile, she'll give you her heart.
She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her.
So - if you give her any crap, you will receive a ton of sh--t."

It was warm here yesterday,
I'm a tad worried,
as it was too hot for me,
every time I got out in the sun,
it felt like it was burning me,
and I was in a hurry to get out of it,
may be a side effect of my new medication.
do anything exciting over the weekend ????

Suzy, paracetamol every four hours is fine. I have always been under the belief that a fever is worse than the drug...for relatively short times of course, a couple of days is probably more than enough. If she hasn't broken the fever by then, she definitely needs to see a doctor. Use a tepid flannel wipe down too.

Suzy... I'm worried about Ebob too. She's had that fever too long now, and the over-the-counter meds are only working temporarily. If your Doc cannot see her first thing in the am, please take her to the ER.
I think it now warrants an ER trip.
Yes, she'll feel miserable waiting there, but bring along a pillow and blanket to help her rest while waiting.

Liz... To add all the fun emoticons/ smilies, you have to be a supporting member. Then you can easily add them from any place that has emoticons, smilies or clip art, or get them from other members (those don't have to be resized), or you can be creative like MizTricia and make your own.

report: had a great time...didn't Bingo in the first half, but did in the second, and that's the important half cos you can steal. I brought home 2 gifts and a bunch of jigsaw puzzles that one of the Babes brought to distribute...her mom died a while ago and had hundreds of beautifully maintained jigsaws.

SUZY, wrote you a long post about Ebob's fevor. My computer froze screen, and I lost it all when I had to reboot.
Basicly what Gail said, for a short while, yes, can give tylenol every 4 to 6 hours, like Gail said, for no more than a couple days. Also encourage you to take her to the doc. If she is also distressed with a fevor, it is usually more serious than if she has fevor and is up watching TV or on the phone or computer, or whatever she usually does. Might mean that the fevor is not enough to cure the problem.
Try dressing her in cotton or natural fiber clothing, and as little as nescessary to cover her modesty. Cotton short shorts or undies and a cotton T is enough. Cotton breathes, synthetics hold in heat and send temps up. Same for coverings, only a cotton sheet unless she is shivering, chilling, and then cotton blankets just till she stops shivering. shivering can run a temp up. Lots of liquids like you said, and you might try wiping all pulse points with tempid water, if this does not make her shiver. wrist, bend of elbo, temples, groin, back of knee, around the hair line, any place the blood vessels are close to surface they will help dissapate the heat. DO Not let her cover her head with her pillow or blanket, that is a big area of heat loss and now we want heat loss.
Fever is natures way of fighting somethng that has invaded the body, symptom of some underlying problem. Trying to reduce the fevor is working against nature, unless the fevor is causing convulsions or is causing much distress. We hate to see our child with fevor I know. some doctors say treat if over 105, some 104, some 103, depends on your doc and your child.
Do check for any pain anywhere, and note this for doc, sore throat, headache, stiff neck or joints, back or flank pain, tummy pain, rash. Any could be a sign of where the underlying problem is located and help doc find it faster.
Good luck with her, Suzy, and hope the doc finds some little something that is easily treated with a fast and complete recovery. Do let us know!

Morning Tricia - hope you're feeling better this a.m.
As I have been "timed out" more recently and lost posts, if it's a longer, detailed post, I "copy" it before submitting - that way if it gets lost I can just paste it back in and resubmit.

ME TOO ME TOO!!
was last night a full moon or something? I did not sleep well or long enough. I was thinking the cola with caffien, but those had not kept me awake since surgery, not with pain pills.
ME TOO ME TOO again! was it Liz? if you find out what makes you feel like even a little sun is burning skin, let me know. I know some meds are photo sensetive, but just to feel the burning when you step into the sun is new for me also. I avoid sun like a vampire! daylight is OK, in the shade or on a cloudy day. SUN HURTS
OK, time to take me back to bed. Had a litle set back with pain today, seems softeners did not work as well as they have been working.
Texas is having a terrible time, rescues of hundreds, perhaps thousands underway and much flooding, in Lousiana also. Prayers and thoughts for all who are stranded by the flood waters.

VICI, I had saved it to clipboard, but I had to do a complete reboot, not just reboot my service provider. A hard reboot, you loose everything on clip board. I refuse to copy to a word program and save. Too much clutter on computer now without that. I just wrote it again and griped about it hehehe.

Yeah, I just do a quick 'right click' and 'copy' if I'm typing something lengthy. Didn't even consider it before, but have been having lots of glitches with the site lately.

Good Morning, beautiful sunny day here. I am all alone once more. Hubby took kids to Kelowna to shop. Kelowna is a two and one half to three hour drive north of us. Nice big city with lots of stores and malls. I hate the drive so I don't usually go, besides the dogs would be lonely.
Since it is so nice out, I shall get some outside work done.
