You've been so busy with Ebob's walking pneumonia ( and the boogie woogie flu) (sorry) that the thought of the Bee was put on the back burner. Very understandable.

The school has been a bit vague with information too. I made a special trip to the school to find stuff out. The principal seems to have forgotten to pass on messages between people too!

Thanks Suzy, I am glad to feel it! I am still up and down, but down now can be recliner and computer chair, not bed, major progress.

Well, tonight mytiming was impecable, finished my book just in time to check in here and then to bed at a decent hour. I ws gonna finish it before going to bed, glad it was not early morning hours before i did.
Vici, yes, it is a good book, ending was a bit rushed I think, but then it all happened in a hurry.
In the book you think you know just everything, saw all that was going on, because what you were shown was soo graphic, so well painted for you in such minute detail. then you realize, huumm, big hunks of little things were just never mentioned and you did not miss them. Ann Patchett is a skilled writter and is not the least perdictable in her writing.

Ruby, thanks I was not sure I would like the book the first few pages. Book turned out to be a plesant surprise. So has my recooperation. I followed all my doc orders, did all my treatments, took all my medication including pain meds when I needed them, all the yucky metamucile and softener stuff, but Mainly I never got over tired. If I felt a twinge of tired, I got me back in bed for a nap, or now, down in recliner for a rest. my house is not clean, counters have dishes hubby does not know how to put into the dishwasher, dishwasher is full of clean dishes to be emptied again, and I am not getting uptight over it. It will get done later rather than sooner, but it will get done. We have the necessities, food to eat, clothes to wear, and in a couple months noone will remember that on Sept 17, Tricia went to bed without emptying the dishwasher.
I think no general anesthesia was a big part and also, whatever it was they gave me to " relax you a little". Not the one I had trouble with before and i must find out what they used. If I ever have surgery again, this is what I want.
Night night all!

Sharon had the stitches out yesterday but still has a lot of pain (spacing out the pain killers though), cannot put on shoes and socks etc. The hardest is not being able to give Laura a proper cuddle.
Laura's surgery has now been scheduled for 1 October and Sharon (with help) should be able to cope by then. (Still will not be able to lift anything or drive)

Hi June and Broni.
Nice to see you having some me time June.
I went to the surgeon today who did my op for a checkup and he said it was not a hernia.
It was a lipoma, which is a fatty lump.
He cut it out and it is benign he said.
My tummy was still rather swollen and he said fluid will be filling the space where the lump was and that he could aspirate it if I wanted.
So I lay down, had a needle inserted into tummy to draw out this fluid.
He will send it away for testing to check its not infected etc.
He said it looks okay.
Apparently some people have this aspirated 6 times, but it is up to the individual as eventually your body deals with it.
I needed my lunch and coffee after that I can tell you.
Good wishes coming your way and to Sharon and Laura.

Son is working at the chip shop tonight and tomorrow night so will be washing tomorrow night about 9.30pm and hubbies work clothes as well !
Now I had better get on with the ironing and fling some food at the same time.

Evening all! Just dropping in while I download some stuff for Ebob.
We decided she would go back to school tomorrow, only to discover that her history class is having a test! She is off studying for that while I download some other stuff she needs.
Sigh. I wouldn't do it for her if she wasn't sick!!!

everybody...I'm back....
Gail and I enjoyed the movie even if we used a few tissues and cleared out the sinus's again.... We went and saw CHILDREN OF THE SILK ROAD. I know its been out for ages...I am really good at seeing things at the last moment...that is two films I have seen this week just before they closed!!
We really should have been seeing a comedy after going to a funeral this morning....but on second thoughts that would probably would have felt like a very trivial act...

Viv, re aspiration, how long would it take for your body to 'sort itself out' without docs help??? And would it sort itself out a little quicker if you trained your son to throw his work clothes in the machine himself when he got home???
