When I was young and single I had plans.... married around 30, first child around 32, second at 34. I would know the person I married at least 2 years before we got engaged, we would be engaged at least a year before we married....

Was I naive or what???

I was engaged after 6 months, married 12 months after that. Now that sounds like I got that part right, until you take into account the fact we were living in different countries for those 12 months!! Married at 26 - 4 years ahead of schedule - first child at 29 - 3 years ahead of schedule - 2nd at 32 - when I was supposed to be having my first.

I was also going to be a working mother!!!! ho ho ho

Dinner is ready... back later

at least at 34 & 30 they pay their own way. They have to contribute to power etc. They both have mobiles so don't use the house phone much & if they stay out out at night I don't worry too much, they're big enough to look after themselves

Did I miss everyone? It is not that late in sudokuland.

My not so lovely cats woke me at dawn, when the sky was first becoming light. Time to HUNT! Get Up Mom, let us OUT! Baby Kitty , who is larger than Momma kitty, actually says OOOUT! and will not take no for an naswer. If I am asleeep, she comes to my bedside table and asks nicely, progressing to more insistant, and the other morning I woke to kitty leaning as far as she coule over the bed, her head level with my ear, and Screeching right in my ear! BTW, her name is Screech, always been that vocal and insistant hehe.

I got up and let her out! she has us trained!

I think I shall take my second cup of coffee and go to the back porch. It is still cool enough to be out a while. I hope it stays cooler this morning, need to get the weed eater and trim around the steps and ramp into the shop. I do not like walking through tall grass, too many ticks about this year.

Hi MizT hope you have a cool morning. At least you know the pecking order in your household, hehe!, Bella basset does the same to me at light but gets her squeeky toy or just makes a hell of a racket stomping over the floorboards.

I enjoyed the second cup on the porch. Enjoying all my " exotic' house plants i am growing in containers. did I tell you, a friend who works in a shop was asked to get rid of plants that did not sell over Mother's Day? She brought them to me. I made a nice dish garden in a wooden flower pot hubby made for me, octagonal, wide and not too deep. I hope they " take" to thier new home!

MizTricia1 I have just looked at your page for the first time.
That quilt is magnificent.
My sister in law does quilting.
She also works at a Spotlight store which sells sewing fabrics etc. and she is in charge of the quilt fabric dept.
I will have to show her this.
What a magnificent effort by lots of people.

YES, Broni, I have learned, Dogs have masters, cats have staff. I am the official opener of the magic see through sliding wall! They KNOW it has something to do with that long black handle they can just barely reach, and if I am not soon enough opening the door, Miss Insistant will stretch to the max and be pawing at the handle, trying to open it herself!

I am also in charge of food and water, and if they have anything umcomfortable, like a tick or a wound they come to me. Dad is for cuddles and loving, and a comfy sleeping boddy. They try to position themselves to be the one that resides in his chair!

Miss Insistant comes to me and talks till I figure out what it is she wants. Mama kitty will sit patiently beside whatever is amiss, an empty water bowl, food bowl or the door, and send vibes, till I notice her.

Elise, that is one magnificent quilt. It has won several ribbons in various local quilt shows. It went the rounds of some of the quilting friends to be displayed at thier guild shows. I think it helped all of us who wanted to DO SOMETHING after the 9/11 tragedy, very theraputic.

Elise, I forgot to say, I have visited your photo gallery, and the beach photos are wonderful! I love the ocean, a lake and any body of water bigger than a mud puddle! In a pinch, a mid puddle will do, if it is a large one!

I think my spots now can be directly attributed to the time I spent in and on the water before I married. And the time I sat at the pool watching youngsters swim, my mommie tan. We were lucky enough to have a membership in a community pool and went daily, untill my girls were old enough to go alone.

Unfortunately no permenant home. It has been offered to several places, including the airlines that lost planes that day. they do not want to remind people abut the loss of planes. Offered it to some of the new York firehouses, but there were so very many memorial quilts made all over the country, so no takers. so each year, we would send it to another quilt show or 2 or 3, untill postage got so very high. It is now to "old" to be entered in the judging, but it can be displayed. It has wonderful workmanship, the lady who did the putting together of the quilt is a professional quiltmaker, doing the patchwork for a shop in Amish country, famous for quilts.
