Thank you, friendly, for the information. We have been very concerned, as Ruby had mentioned bronchitis that she thought was getting worse. Thank you for finding a way to notify her many friends here in "Sudokuland." She will be missed by all of us.

Friendly, there is a youtube video on my page, which was made for Ruby (as we know her) back in October.
Please let her friends know about it, they might get a chuckle out of it.
We made it because Ruby was always wanting to hear 'our accents', but as we kept telling her, we don't have any!

The most recent pic in my picture gallery was a sign post to Ruby, a village in South Gippsland, Australia. I took it to show Ruby that the place really did exist.

Ruby was a great online friend. I rejoice at her gifts to us and pray that she remain in everlasting peace.

Dino, so well said, thank you.
As I said on SA7
"Yep very slow site tonight,
another passing to another plane, we all have our expectations of what is to come but we must remember to celebrate the life that she lived. Without that we would have missed something important in our lives."

Friendly thank you so much for letting us all know about Ruby.

this has come as a great shock to our close knit cyber family. Ruby was part of an extraordinary network of people introduced to each other by a love of sudoku. We have shared our lives, our joy and our grief. We have laughed together...we have commiserated when misfortune has struck. Now we unite in grief.

Although most have never met we have grown to care deeply for each other as we have got to know each other better. It is hard to explain to others the bond we share. You must have had some idea to have gone to this trouble to let us know. Thank you very much.

This was possibly Ruby's last contact with us all on the 8th December.
"Hello, all. I'm having a bad run of bronchitis now and just crawled out for albuterol. Please pretend I have made appropriate comments. Back to bed."

She will be missed. May she RIP.

friendly for contacting us about Ruby - she was so special to us.
You were so very kind to recognize how much she meant to us. I want to welcome you to join us in the Sudokuholics Annonymous 7 pages (where we grew to know and love Ruby). It can be found under the Forum heading. As others above have mentioned...it is a place where we found each other and bonded with our daily events. The page is open to one and all. Please feel free to stop in and visit with us.
Again - my deep gratitude for you and your efforts to inform us about Ruby.

friendly, I would like to extend my deep gratitude to you for thinking to let us know of Ruby's passing. She was a significant part of our "Sudokuaholics" community and was known for her wit and compassion and knowledge. Only a month or so ago I had asked for her help with punctuating a quote that included a question. She quickly responded with her answer. She had written a week or so ago about difficulty with bronchitis. Bean (about 5 or 6 comments above) quoted Ruby's last comment to us here. We have all been concerned for her health. May our "Ruby" from Ruby rest in peace! I would like to extend sincere condolences to her family and friends.

Very early this morning when I first learned of Ruby's death, I searched for and submitted some angel avatars. Luckily they were approved quickly. I wanted to post again with my little Christmas angel in honor of Ruby, one of the newest angels.

Friendly, as you can see by the response, Ruby (Mary) was a very good friend to many of us, and a part of our sudoku community, as Kathy mentioned, we are a 'family'.
If you happen to see this before her funeral, please let her family know she is loved by many from all over the world.

Friendly... Losing Ruby/ Mary Anne has brought it very much to mind that we really do feel like a family here, but the one we would have chosen if we could. Ruby is already very much missed here. I can only imagine how much she is missed there. Our love and best wishes to all of you.

Thank you Friendly for letting us know. I was worried about Ruby and had been praying for her. Although it may be difficult to understand the connection we feel here on Sudoku, I considered her a true friend through all of her postings on SA. May she rest in peace. Thoughts and prayers for all of those who knew her. God Bless!
