I do hope that you haven't lost someone to breast cancer. And good luck continuing a long and happy marriage. Mine (of 29 1/2 years is ending. We both took each other for granted and moved along different paths. At least our 3 boys are grown so the pain for them will be different. (I, too, am 49 years young.)

Aimee- The pregnancy is going very well now; thank you for remembering and asking. I am getting bigger (and bigger and bigger!) by the day it seems, but not so much as to be uncomfortable yet. I love feeling the baby move, which is good since he is a real wiggler. People tell me that how they act inside is how they'll act as a baby -- I may have my hands full in a few months!

Thank you so much for your kind comments (well, maybe not Gail’s reference to riots). The ‘coming of age’ trips idea came from some older (is that possible?) friends who had done the same thing for their grands.

I really appreciate the offer of accommodations on our possible trip to Australia, but you must remember that Katelyn is only 7yo and …, well, you know.

Barbara and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Australia and New Zealand in 2002 and would really like to return some day, so if we are still doing Sudoku in 2012, and Katelyn still wants to go, maybe we can work something out.

Thanks for helping me celebrate my son's birthday! I thought he'd like getting wishes from all over the world. I have been passing them on to him as I get them and he's been amazed at the number of wishes he's gotten throughout the day! But he'll love being 8 again the best! (He's 35!) Trucks & cars are always a favortite for my grandson! But he's only 2 1/2!

Hello Aimee, just thought that I would let you know that Geelong is a lovely seaside town on the southwestern side about 30ish miles out of Melbourne in Australia. It is sort of the kick off point of the 'Great Ocean Road' which is one of the most spectatular drives along the southern coast of Victoria.
Actually, this is just an excuse to visit you, as I have seen you around the site, and don't often get the chance to visit!! I am leaving some Aussie bubbly and some lamingtons. Please enjoy!!

Ame, Thank you for the welcome! I have been around for a couple of years, going in and out when time allows. I grew up in Steubenville, just south of Pittsburgh as you probably know - always did shopping in that city. Love the view as you emerge from Squirrel Hill tunnel! Still are avid Steelers fans!
