Thoroughly enjoyed touring through your photos, Linda - wonderful!!!

I was surprised to read that you were shipping the RV to Australia. Driving on the left with the steering wheel on the left would do a tune on my head, for sure. It's an interesting choice to make a trip through the vast mostly flat American midsection. Except for Graceland and Mt. Rushmore, you seem to have avoided any chance of seeing tourists, and you managed to avoid seeing any cities!... except to go home from Los Angeles.
I am such an East Coast person that when I went to Australia, I went to Cairns, Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne, and never went one bit west, not even to the Blue Mountains. Some day, I want to go crosswise from Tasmania to Adelaide to Perth, but in an airplane, so I can look down on that vast nothingness rather than be in it. I am a total city girl, so your trip amazes me. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Hi Linda. I am an "oldtime" sudoku member, but have found myself in the past few months spending more time on Facebook & less on Sudoku. I missed reading about your crosscountry USA trip while it was happening, & just today came by your page to figure out who this "Grasshopper" person is!! You & your husband sure did a lot of "hopping" during your travels in the RV! I just have to ask how you happened to start your adventure in Mancelona, MI? I had never heard of it so pulled out a Mich. map to find it. Did you ever add up all the miles you drove? WOW - what a long trip! Good onya!

I have been so out of touch with the happenings of sudokuland... haven't even kept in touch as much on facebook...sometimes life gets in the way and so I missed all the excitement of your trip. I plan on meeting some of the topsiders this year... I just have to get myself fit enough to fly!! [Easier said than done]

Hi Grass-hopper, thanks for dropping by and leaving your birthday message. It's been a great day, but you'll be pleased to hear the faster internet connection hasn't gone in as it turns out we're just a little bit too far away from the wireless tower. It's a shame - my speed would have increased from the current one Mbit per second (at best) to around 13. Never mind, I'll just have to put up with it until the NBN becomes a reality.
