G-h! I continued all morning to listen to the radio station you posted the link for. Wow! It sure took me down memory lane - most songs were popular during my grade school days. Seems most stations around here play the later oldies.
One song (Soldier Boy) reminded me of an older boy (4 or 5 years older) who would come up to me and say, "Sheeee... likes me!" - playing on my name. And then I would blush!

G'day G-H. Glad you enjoyed my gallery. Yes, I'd seen the pictures you took while in the States. Barbara took one of the Mackinac Bridge that is very similar to yours.

Thanks for the birthday greetings. Started out in hospital but did get home for a BBQ with all the family. Have a good trip to Adelaide (I think).

Hi Linda, presume you are heading down to Adelaide but thought I should let you know our very own CP and Mr.P. have arrived at the Gold Coast and we are planning a gathering at my place on Sunday for a BBQ Lunch.
So any who can make it are more than welcome, just let me know.

Grasshopper, in desperation for a bit of occasional civilization we have flown chinese takeaway over to our island ... there is a cost for delivery to the plane and then $20 freight as long as it is not over $10 but it is worth it sometimes for a birthday etc ... and we all pitch in to pay the diff.

Linda, bless you for keeping my family and me in your thoughts at the moment. I have not lied or exaggrerated the truth, when I have said, I am fine. I was blessed for several weeks and I will cherish that time. I am not totally unfeeling, the tears are free flowing, with bouts of anger, but I have two little girls that do not understand, why Mommy has lost her mind, so I have to stay in control and normal for them. Again, thank you for keeping me in your thoughts.

Thank you Grass-Hopper, for your kind wishes, but I don't know about having many more, I think I have had more than enough already, and will just stay this age forever!. I had a wonderful day made even more special by the thoughts of my Sudoku friends, and a phone call from my daughter in London. Looks like you had a great US trip! Isn't this site just wonderful!! Had a fabulous day, surrounded by my family, just as you suggested, followed by another round of frivolity the next day, celebrating D#3, Hannah's birthday...don't need to eat at all today!
