I love your dog!

My neighbor has one like it.. and I've been worried about it. I watched a TV program that stated bassett's need room to roam.

I've noticed that my neighbor lives in an apt that is 500 sq. feet only, and when she does take her dog out, it's down the stairs to one bush and that's it.

I don't worry about my dog, because he gets to go on longer walks several times a day, but after I heard how much space a bassett needs, I've been wondering if her dog is being neglected? What do you think :)

Thank you Broni for your kind words of comfort. My Dad was ready to go as he hated knowing that he was losing his memory and felt that he was a burden to us at least now he is at peace.

Broni, thanks for stopping by and sharing some info about Bassetts, I'll keep it in mind. I believe my neighbor spends time with her dog, and loves it, I was concerned it doesnt get to roam at all because of the short distance to potty, and small living space. But, also I dont know how old it is, and maybe it's just as well that he takes it easy.

Thanks so much for the Birthday greetings, Spring has finally arrived here and I am enjoying hiking in the Morton Arboretum - the spring flowers are in bloom. Take care, Mary I enjoyed the utube of the bassets, I miss Lizzie our basset dog from next store - I couldn't believe how much hair I could get off of her in the spring - heavy coat.

Thank you, girlfriend! Started with expecting an ordinary business as usual but my students made up a card and signed it. Then my colleagues got a card for me. So it was with unexpected joy! Then of course the sudoku friends made it incredible! Can't wait until either in 3 years when I retire or you come out to LA when we can meet!
