It looks like I'm too late to catch anyone. Just wanted to pop in and say Hi! I'm going to be away from a computer for a couple of weeks, so will miss all of you and think about you! Take care, Everyone!

Hiya all. Phew, what a day. Back home from the shopping. Still haven't put it away though! Its a glorious day here. I had to go for a walk in the garden before I put it away and just as I was about to go do it, I heard this faint..."Gail, Gail". I followed the sound and guess what? I ended up here!
The pooter was calling me. Got a lot of catching up to do, again, so I'll be back in occasionally.

Stella, I've just seen your request for pavlova knowledge. Don't know if anyone has answered yet, so I'll save it till I finished the pages. How's that for intrigue!

If the stuff had been more RISQUE, I probably would have bought it!
Nah, got there too late, due to D#2 working. They'd long finished the show-and-tell, and I wasn't overly impressed by the way the stuff was presented, a small loungeroom with a couple of racks of gear. Looked through the catalogue but it was all a bit young for me. I can't believe I just said that!

Gail, Linda only arrived in Sydney on Wednesday. I did not say anything as her husband was very reluctant to meet up with someone Linda had met on the net. Used the private contact to give her lots of our personal info so as to be able to convince him we were "OK" people. Another reason for the photo of me and hubby on my page. They are in Blue Mts. now and fly to Port Douglas on Monday.,then Uluru, Hobart, South Island NZ. Back one night in Sydney then home mid Sept.We had eight hours showing them around.

Good evening everyone! Just stopping in briefly. It was crazy yesterday trying to get everything packed and ready and then had to be up at 5am! We brought all S#1's stuff down but he had to go to practice when we got there. (8:30am, which we knew ahead of time) His room is so much smaller that D#1's was last year. We unpacked and arranged the room as best we could. It was all done by the time he got back from practice at 11:30. He has a really nasty turf burn on his shin and calf. The rubber from the artificial turf was imbedded in his leg. I thought the trainer was going to take care of it before the scrimmage in the afternoon, but I guess he wasn't there. I'm hoping that it doesn't get infected. We had lunch in town there and then drove home. D#1 had made homemade pizza. We ate and then started packing her stuff in the van since we are leaving at 6am for Boston. After we unpack her, we have to go to the storage place to get her roommates stuff since she is from Panama and had to leave it here from last semester. Hubby just got the last of the stuff in the van and the heavens broke open. It is raining buckets here and I think it is because it got up into the 90's today. Over 30 degree difference in highs in just a few days!

OH MY STELLA, that is some thunder when it shakes the house! Someone near us today got that kind of thunder, I was hearing it rumble in the distance almost constantly!

OH, before those storms got to us, in the county north of us, in a upper middle class neighborhood, 2 children were hit by lightning from a storm that "came out of nowehre". Only one was sent to hopital and I think treated and released, anyway, the news said the child was doing fine.

Hi everyone...I had hoped to catch some of you around. These storms have really been claiming a lot of folks recently...glad the little girl in your news story was okay Miz T..Just the other day, a woman was killed as they were celebrating at a wedding rehearsal dinner. They ran out to close the car windows when she was hit. She was to have been the Matron of Honor at her best friend's wedding. Needless to say, the wedding has been canceled indefinitely. So sad.

Yes, it does seem storms have increased in intensity and are claiming more lives. It is soo sad. we have had about 15 weather realted deaths, mostly heat related illnesses, this month. Birmingham has opened cooling centers, and one of the local cab companies is giving free rides to and from a cooling center to senior citizens, since they are more seceptible to heat related illnesses.

A truly glorious day today June. Went to my girlfriend's eldest's 30th. He's a big kid so the party had pass-the-parcel, fairy bread and lolly bags! It was quite a ways away from us, but you couldn't have picked a better day to go for a drive.

Beautiful day here today. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, the pest from down the road is on his dirt bike....aah the serenity! Hubby's day off and when (if) he gets up, we (I) plan to rejuvenate some of the hanging pots that are looking a tad neglected due to it still being winter and all. Just having my morning fix, catch you later.

Hi Guys! The usual mondayitis here today. It's 11.00am, a beautiful sunny day and pleasantly warm (for near Spring). Stayed up to watch the final of Survivor last night and then the reunion show. This season they have put it on damnably late and it didnt finish until just before 2.00am. I wonder if we will even get the Survivor China season . Anyway, have a nice day/evening wherever you are.

Hi Chrissy! Wow, that is late for the finale show to be on. How could they expect anyone to stay up that late!?! Just got back from our worldwind dropping off kids and luggage at college tour. We left a little after 6am and just got home at 9pm. It was a looong day! A looong 2 days of travelling!! Tomorrow(27th here) is Brendan's 18th birthday. It feels strange that he's not here for his birthday and will be all alone. His roommate doesn't arrive until Wednesday. Well, I'm off to grab a snack and then to bed! Have a good night/day all! CYOTFS
