Hello, all! Great day here. Cloudy and rainy all day. The rain didn't amount to much, but it was cooler.

To sudoluland. It has been a quite day today here, except for another little noisy T storm. this one was very small again and sat right over us and rained enough to drop the temps again at 4 pm. A friend phoned while it was raining, and he asked how we were doing in the heat. Told him it was nice and cool and raining again, almost every day this week. He was only a few miles away, and they were still near 100, we were 78. It still gets hot before the rain, but I love the cool down and a chance to get outside a while.

Stella, I hope you get some time to rest up now, that was a big big move. Are all 3 children now at school? I am trying to keep up, honest, but the coming and goings of the little Stella's is more than I can keep up with. Let us know how it feels with onnoe but max at home. BTW where is young Mr Max? have not seen him racing for the forst page lately.

YEP, I had to shut down puters for a while,too. I kept loosing signal for 30 min before we got the thunder. Now could any computer savy person tell me why we loose the DSL line in bad weather? i thought when we dished the satelite system we would be finished with rain fade!

DSL depends on the phone line, so if that is disturbed by lightening I guess the DSL is too.

Good morning all! Don't know what today is going to be like weather-wise. Still recupperating from the weekend. Now have to start packing and getting D#2 ready to bring next week. We were going to stop by her school on the way home from Boston but we thought we would be out of there by 2 at the latest, not 6pm. Have a great day!

DINO, thanks for your input and that is just what i am talking about. my phones work perfectly, storm or no storm, but still I loose the ability to get to the internet. We do have wireless network in the house, but my computer is where the signal comes in, it is attached by cables, soo, you would think I wold still have internet even if weather somehow interfered with the wireless network. I sit here and look at the lights on the router or whatever it is called and they flicker on an doff, the one that should be green when receiving internet signal. I do think I need to find the number for repair service from our provider and ask them!

Good to see that you are reading, Dino and do jump into th econversation when you can, we have missed you.

Stella, do extend my birthday greetings to son Brendan. I hope his day is good. Being his first away from home on your birthday goes with being adult, but it is still not fun. Maybe if you forward all the silly messages we are sending, plus a few of your own, he can get a chuckle and feel loved

Good morning MizT! Thanks! I was thinking of either copying the messages and emailing them to him (although he'll have to borrow a computer since he doesn't get his until the freshman have orientation) or giving him the website and letting him read them there. Maybe I'll do both!

Hello to everyone. I have been trying to get here for the past few evenings but haven't managed it. Hubby needed the internet Friday night to update things on his computer. Saturday, Amber, Chelsea and I watched "Bridge to Teribithia" on PPV. As soon as the movie was over the power went out for two hours. Last night we went to my sis-in- law's for dinner. Might not make it back this evening because my brother should be here, not sure what time. Hope to make it back soon. "Talk" to you all then.

Rena, Glad you were able to finish the movie before losing power. Enjoy your family time...we'll be here. Dino, welcome, hope your knee pain is diminishing. Stella, add my birthday wishes for Brendon too...I didn't realize he didn't have computer access. Take care of yourself with all of the packing and traveling. Hi Ruby! Brendan's turf burn, I guess, looks bad. According to him it looks bad and is very sore and swollen. The trainer says there is no infection, but I am wary of that. I told him to clean it and air it on a regular basis. He did more damage to it in practice today. I think he will keep an eye on it for any sign of infection.

Brendan finally ventured into town to pick up his bank card. While there an elderly man in a wheelchair was trying to get up the hill. It must have been a long way because Brendan said it took him 15 minutes to help push him up. I'm glad he was there to help.

Stella, that was nice of Brendan to be a 'Good Samaritan' you should be proud of him. Hope his knee comes good with no infection.

Stella, you must feel happy that Brendan is so kind. My knee is healing even if I feel like an 'old' lady. Have just arranged for bars in bathroom etc. ... things that I never thought I would need. But then we can't really avoid getting older. Beautiful day here and all I need to do is rest in the sunshine with my laptop on my knee.

Hi Rolanda and Dino! Glad you're making progress Dino, one step at a time! Spring is on its way there and Fall is on its way here! I can't believe that summer is almost over! Time certainly does fly! Well, I'm heading to bed early, hoping to get some sleep. Didn't get much sleep last night, too many things racing through my head. Have a good day/night you guys. AGGHH, I just had another glitch with AOL and this site! I tried to post the above and computer stopped uploading mind way. so I copy, back out and come back again. well, I TRY to come back again. white page and a notice acros top, PARENTAL CONTROL BLOCK!

My Mom said I could come here, I asked her! I know noone added a block to this site from here. so I did what people with windows do, closed the window and reopened it. works now, go figure! My drama for today. That is life in th eslow lane, and I like it slow.

Good morning all! Looks like a beautiful day today! Talked to Brendan last night and he had a good evening practice, so he was happy. He said his leg still looks bad but the trainer said it is doing good since it has a red glaze over it(like a scab I guess). So it is not infected. It must be sore though because it is like a burn and a cut.
