There was an article in our local paper about a family who didn't buy presents at Christmas. Everything that was exchanged were either homemade or were 'coupons' for chores, etc. I thought it was a good idea. Homemade things seem to mean more than a last minute gift.

We do a Kris Kringle. Everyone is sposed to but someone else's pres, but I do most of it cos I know what each wants ish!

Pop wouldn't even make that much effort. He may have given Mom money to spend, but that was the full extent of his participation as far as I can gather.

Day after tomorrow I'm going to try and catch up on the visiting. Tomorrow have a list of things to do a mile long.

For their birthdays, we give the kids their age times ten in dollars then they can buy their own desires. Up to a point of course, after they're 21 its $20 in a card!

Dad gave me the money and I would buy Mom's present.

Yeah, right now I should be in the laundry! But I figure its not going anywhere! It'll be there later.

Monday's laundry day here.
My Dad would make a major holiday out of Flag Day. He just generally had fun. If it was a holiday, he was going to make a big deal of it. And he adored my mother, so he always bought for her as well. Christmas, birthdays, et al, were great fun at my home. Somehow, my husband got the spirit, and tho he doesn't know how to make the fun of it that my dad did, he does make it appreciable.

And with that Cleo must leave NOW! Ciao for now. Sleep well all.

I have enough trouble without making up another. Geez, I spent almost an hour coming up with an address today. I also dislike the people who use a different name and either attack or complain. If you have something to say, say it.
