Just popping in to say a quick hello, have been busy at work. Rola, the boss did leave me a huge pile of things to do
- must have known I've been slacking off lately
I've spent what small free time I've had today reading all the goings on in the last few pages - boy there is a lot to read.

Rola I was so busy on this site yesterday evening, I didn't get a chance to phone my sis to see how she was doing. Will give her a ring tomorrow, as I won't have time tonight either with the big dinner party & all.

Mamacita, if you're still here, I haven't been back since Mother died 5 yrs ago, but she and Daddy are buried there, so who knows? My aunt & uncle just moved to a retirement apartment after 50 some years in the same house, so they have no room for guests. The mssage I left was just the one youu read and responded to. Thanks
Okay, it's after 3:00 pm there, Rola, so it's after 1:00 am here, and since hubby is off tomorrow and sleeping in to him means til about 6:00am, I better get moving.
Have a lovely supper and evening to all of you 'down under' and those of you on this side of the world, go to bed! hehehe
Goodnight all.

Rola, early you where saying pumpkin is a vegitable, is it not a fruit, ie skin-'soft'mushy stuff-seed, so a fruit by definition I thought.

I think it depends whether you ask a botanist (fruit) or a cook (vegetable)

hmm yes, as rule of thumb, here in Aust it is treated like a Vegetable rather than a fruit. I think

For everyones info I did a search on Wikipedia & this is what it says re pumpkin
'Botanically it is a fruit, referring to a plant part which grows from a flower; however, it is widely regarded as a vegetable in culinary terms, referring to how it is eaten.'
I too would consider it a vegetable

I will be heading home soon, & I won't be back in this evening as we have guests coming for dinner. To all those who are chairless, please feel free to use mine (either one). But please don't leave any crumbs, I've given them a good clean this afternoon already. Someone had a fine time while I wasn't here, with Rola's apple pie, & vdv's poofterjes (spelling?)
Not that I'm picky or anything I just don't like crumbs on my chair!!
