Rolanda, hope your mum's follow up appointment goes well and that everything is going to plan.
The multitude of not so well people we know have my get well vibes going to them. We seem to be having a few too many illnesses around just now.
Cyn I'm sure that you will give Emily the love and attention she needs right now.

Morning all - Well I slep like a baby - WOW this operation has certainly taken it out of me, I was so tired last night and I only work 4 hours a day, The registered nurse did say hey you are going to have to take it very slowly, so do what you can, all I managed yesterday was heaps and heaps of cuddles and quite a few tears for the residents that were no longer there.
Some of them were so happy to see me, I felt like I had come home. makes me emotional just thinking about it, but thats the drugs hey, wow thank goodness I have an excuse.

Blessings to you all, thank you.
I return my thoughts and best wishes to be distributed amongst you all for those in need.

Hubby and I didn't have a great night last night, a lot of things on our mind. We were both awake at 2am when I heard him get up. When we talked this morning, he apologised for keeping me awake, I told him I also couldn't sleep, it wasn't his fault. He ended up coming back about 3, by which time I was asleep, so it was a very late start to the day for both of us.
A bit annoyed about that, this morning is our watering morning! I did it anyway, please don't tell the water police!

The very unfortunate thing about oversleeping is that I was too late to give Bill a ring before he went to the hospital, but we spoke last night, and he knows I love him and he is in my thoughts.
...now we play the waiting game...

A few "comments" have been removed from Easy again. Apparently I'm not the only one who objects to tasteless 'jokes'. I've never considered crudity and explicit language to be humorous.
And believe me, I'm no prude.

I think we have a few to choose from, Heidi. I'm pleased those tasteless jokes were deleted and I'm no prude - I usually laugh at Daplap's most tasteless ones - she warns people not to read them if they are easily offended.
Rsole and his ilk just want to stir the pot - particularly to get a rise from Greg - but he's learnt wisely to ignore them.

My question is: Is it just the name Rsole that is banned, or the person behind him?

Even the most tasteless joke can be funny when told in the right circumstances by the right people (someone a person is comfortable with) but when told in virtual anonymity, they are just offensive.

Probably both - using that name, I wondered if it was an Aussie - is that an expression used in the US - it is a common insult here.

Hello friends!
Seems there's lots going on -
Gail, keeping Bill (and you) in my thoughts - hope everything works out well for him. Take care of yourself...
Liz, glad you gave that pair a piece of your mind - they both sound pretty creepy!
CynB - poor Emily!
Heidi - took me a while, but I finally worked out why Rsole needed to be banned ... (Yeah, I'm a bit of a thicky!)

If someone could let me know what Rsole means I would appreciate it. I have never heard it up here. If it is too offensive to post, send as a pm. My curiosity has got the better of me.
I know the "bad" words in several languages. Not how to say them, but when I hear them. It helps that I recognize Jamaican Patois and Haitian Creole. It keeps the students on their toes when they think I understand their language. I gave a student a detention for using a "bad" word in class. He tried to argue. I told him, and his mother who laughed her head off, that I understood Patois and I did not care what language it was in, I would not allow that language in my classroom. Luckily, he used one of the few words I was sure of.

Good Evening, Everyone! Just have a few minutes now to pop in and say Hello. I've missed the last couple of days, so have about 5 pages to read. All this exercise and therapy and icing of knees is really cutting into my time!

I have hit the online shopping stores and made purchases for grandies. Luckily, we already had a few things for them, D#1 and SIL, and D#2. We took 3 boxes to the post office today to be sent various directions. One was being sent to Europe, so will probably arrive mid-January. Oops, it's the best we could do with all that's been going on, including MIL going down-hill and more confusion, etc.

Gotta run, but hope to be back later!

Only two more pages to read but had to stop and ask the question....When did I turn into a horse??? I know I've been in the zoo fat too much, but it sounds like I'm in the side show of a circus...Heidi??? What??? Guess that will teach me about staying away too long..lol
On the serious side, seems there is so much illness going on among the rush and hush of holiday preparations....adding my thoughts, prayers and healing positive thoughts to all that need them...Cyn, glad you are enjoying your zoo break away...I'm just not ready to join you just yet....but I agree...far too much time spent there , leaving little time for all of the wonderful folks here...glad some of you are over there with me....
I had much more to comment but craft has struck...so where ever you are, do something gooc for those around you.....yep..I did remember that little graff...hehe..Peace and better days all...love ya!

Blame it on Vici, Mamacita. She suggested that I name my new lovely, gentle, sweet tempered Arabian mare "Ouima", since the description reminded her of you. I asked if you had any objections, and since I heard nothing for days, I figured that you didn't mind. If you do, I can change it. She hasn't learned it yet.

LOL...A horse of course with such a flattering description as the reason for the name how could I ever object....but I wondered how it came to be...and you know...the only other Ouima fit the description to a t...as for me....I don't think I fill the bill...but I try! If you are happy with it ..so am I..and more so...very proud to see a beautiful animal wear it proudly!!!! Thank You!

So far, so good, Gail.

If you want to see the picture that I fell in love with, you'll have to go to Redbubble. Art by Temma, to be specific. It's entitled "At the beach". Otherwise, it's up to eaa to post it. I just bought a print. It's her picture.
