Brenda, I was bored, or something. My story anyway.

Oh dear, I have a wet kitty come in from the rain, and she is asking that mom dry her. she has learned, Mom and a towel, about 2 minutes. Kitty and licking off all the water, about an hour. she comes to Mommie or Daddy when wet now. Smart kitty .

When Callie comes in wet or if she has had a bath she runs around like a mad thing, then she will flop on to her side and push herself along the carpet to dry her ears (we call it earsurfing) it is so funny to watch. If there is a towel on the floor for her she will sometimes use that. She prefers that to us trying to dry her with a towel.

That was strange, I thought I would have lost that last post into the ether as I got a time out error message.

Hi All! STill no time to stay and chat or check posts, but....

Was talking to a friend yesterday about the car. She also had an amazing story. On Mother's Day her family were in a restaurant when her daughter noticed that the solitaire was missing from her wedding rings! They all searched and searched, but the youngest was the one who wouldn't quit. She actually found the solitaire - somewhere it could never be expected to be!!!

Happy birthday Rolanda... and splish splash, taking a bath isn't the same as taking a shower!

HI Gail, snuck back in - nowhere nasty! Just way away from where they were sitting and where they had walked - I figure it must have been kicked or something.

I'm sort of waiting for visitors to arrive (I say sort of 'cause she may not actually get to my house until late today). Mum's cousin, my second cousin I guess, is coming to visit for the night. I haven't seen her since I was a teenager, maybe even a preteen! I'll have to whip out now and pay the car registration though. Not the stolen/found one - the other one!

A quick hello to everyone for Friday. I just went to see "Miss Pettigrew lives for a day" with my daughter. I enjoyed it, especially the London pre-WW2 era it was set in. Kept saying to Karin - 'I just love this furniture', 'bathroom' etc. She told me later that every time I had said that she had been thinking that it was far too ornate for her tastes.
Nothing worse than having a minimalistic kid!!

we did not float away yesterday, but we got rain, and Rain, and RAIN! I think the total for yesterday at the station closest to me was 2.5 inches in one day! Did I mention it RAINED? Another unseasonably cool day today and cloudy again, damp, humid. No severe weather with this rain, that part ws good, not even any thinder and lightening, just rain and more rian and more rain. My kitties kept comming to me and complaining, I think they wanted me to turn off the rain for them. silly kitties.

JUNE, no need to be embarrassed, on SA1 I stayed top TOPPS I think forever! Noone chased me off the site :). So you come right on back here and post all you want and if others covet your crown, they have to just post more!

Just checked back before going to bed, I have been skimming through the easy comments,

For people with a bad cold and lots of coughing
I did add the suggestion I got (twice) about a group of Canadian Medical researchers who suggest you rub Vicks vapour rub on the soles of your feet and then put on a pair of socks before going to bed. They do not know why but it stops the coughing for 3-4 hours and lets you get some uninterupted sleep.
Very effective with children.
I have not had a cold yet to try it out (and I do not want one!!!)

June sounds an interesting way to suppress a cough, will have to try it out if I succumb again.

Yes June, that is a very interesting suggestion! Will have to keep that in mind. Maybe I'll bring some to Bryana since she has a cold/cough. I may go to her game tomorrow depending on how I feel.

Been so busy trying to get everything organized that I'm in a bit of a funk because it doesn't look like I'm getting anywhere!

I may just go to the movies today since we never went for my birthday and a new theater just opened up. They're giving out free popcorn and drinks. Brendan wants to see "Ironman" so if he doesn't mind being seen with his mom, maybe I can talk him into going.

Since I'm here, I might as well go for a cp. Haven't done that in a while!
