WOW!!! NOT A POST FOR NEARLY 6 HRS....unheard of..almost.
Mama...sorry to hear you have my lurgy.... Must confess I didn't get out of my nightie for a few days....threw on a jumper and oscillated between bed, tv and the pooter. Today I got dressed and went and saw a film.... thought a good laugh might help clear the airwaves and now I'm exhausted and ready for bed Hopeless
Went and saw MADE OF HONOUR with Patrick Dempsey.

Worth the effort. Combined the outing with a trip to the supermarket....been to sick to shop and where almost out of consumable items [including chocolate...no way the lad is getting into my Lindt balls..YUM!!!]

Evening all! Can't stay to catch up on the pages of posts but had to share my news.... Our 2nd car was stolen on Monday. We were shattered! It's an older car so we only had third party insurance on it. BUT... tonight hubby was driving to TAFE and found it on the side of the road!!! It's 45 minutes from here, but it's found!!!!! And it wasn't burnt out, dented, anything!!!! Woo hoo!

Coffee is on, have a cup with me. Another cool morning, I am in my warm robe and it feels nice. a good day for holding a hot cup of coffee. Forecasters say this probably our last cool till autumn, but I like it. Kitty girl came and snuggled with me in bed this morning. You know it is coolish when she does that hehe.

Hi Tricia, Will join you for a coffee. Our cat is the same, only come inside if cold or a storm.
Can also tell how cold by where she sleeps on the bed

June, my kitty girl likes to sleep between me and the edge of the bed. she wants me to cover her with the blanket also! If I turn over, she will walk down my back and find a spot to lie upon, one that is achie usually. Not sure how she knows where the achies are, but she finds them!

OH, a very funny kitty story about the otyher cat, the "baby" of Kitty girl. She is totally Al's cat. At night, he often stands by his chair talking to me, and kitty will come, get on his chair and meow over and over again, and rub against him, and try to climb up his leg. she is wanting him to come sit in his chair, so she can lie down and go to sleep in his lap! He will tell her NO, it is not bed time for you yet, and she gets all huffy and pouts. such a kitty

Afternoon All...MizT, sure wish I had kitty to find my achies....anywhere she touched would be it! My daughter use to 'walk' on my back when it hurt like it does now....but alas.....no longer any kids at home....
Bean, I understand completely about the exhustion...I managed to shower and dress and am trying to move about slowly...but ...OH Boy!!!!

Suzy....So glad you have recovered your car....It feels good when you have a good ending to a bad situation.

Suzy - what bad and good luck with your car. It's not often a stolen car is found in tact. We live in a semi-rural area here and I've lost count of the burned out cars we see around here. I remember recently passing one that was still on fire, and the firies were putting it out. The next morning I went past it and there was a man standing there looking at it in despair - obviously the owner. It was a flashy sports car.

Hi all, weather here has been very nice lately but is supposed to change tomorrow so I am going to make the most of it today. Going out to lunch with a couple of friends later. Will probably go into the garden and finish planting my hanging baskets and tubs this morning.

Hi June how are you? Hubby & I were going to see The Painted Veil in the valley near the city but the police had a problem on the gateway bridge & blocked 3 lanes going north hence a build up of traffic everywhere the story bridge where we were going was clogged our movie started at 1-15 this was 12-30 we didnot look like going anywhere so we came back home SIGH||| oh well maybe next wednesday

I took a friend out to lunch for her birthday. We went Vietnamese. Then went to a coffee shop and sat in the sun and chattered away. Most enjoyable. Sorry about your movie Mary.

Sounds like a nice day June to cap our day of down came a heavy shower of rain got back home & sun came out we were not meant to see the movie

Saturday night we went to the local Thai resturant with D2s in laws very nice its under new management the new owners came from a few miles away really good food & the service was good

Mama, I hope you are feeling better! Talked to Bryana last night and she too has a cold. It must be going around!

Mary - heard that the blockage on the Gateway bridge was a suicide. Apparently stopped the car on top of the bridge, climbed onto the roof of the car, climbed over the fence and jumped. That's why they put up those high fences - but still they jump. So sad that someone felt the need to do that and couldn't talk or didn't have anyone to talk to. Much sadness for a family tonight.
