Morning everyone!

Good morning Suzy. Just checking in before we take off in a couple of hours.

About to leave for my holiday outting today. we are going to the grocery for milk, and to get an ice cream cone to celebrate the holiday. whoppee! How is that for life in the slow lane!!

RUBY, we get warmer faster than you do and they have an early ripening variety here, a cling sead, that is ready by last week in May, first week in June. I checked back in my cannong journal, several years, I was making peach Jam by the first week in June or sooner.

Maybe while we are out, we will look for peaches? but I think we are going north, to Montevallo and not down to peach country. Now they do get some in the grocery and same p4rice as driving fown to Clanton. I shall look today. They buy baskets and sell for same thing the "fruit stands" sell them for. Means the grower does not get as much, but he is sure of selling hundreds of baskets of peaches, so I guess it evens out.

MizT,the peaches sound wonderful....a nice dish of sliced peaches and cream right now sounds wonderful.....Ummmmmgoood!

My connection is too slow to go back to check... Did I tell you about the singing lady? Because of a family birthday, I took d1 to gym on a different night to usual - and met a lady who has been heavily involved in singing and performing in Oz, but is currently staying home to look after her children. I stretched our 3 minute friendship and asked her to listen to a recording of d2 (on my mobile phone). She has offered to come to our house to hear her sing!! I don't know if she will come, she may regret her generous offer, but I want to be prepared in case she does. Which means I am now off....

SUZY, no you had not told us about the singing lady/ At least i do not remember it. I do hope the singing lady comes. she must have heard someting she liked in your daughter's recording on the cell phone, to think of coming to listen to her live and in person/ Is daughter 2 nervous about someone comming to hear her sing?

Quiet day on SA4 today.... No singing lady today, but we had several days open... I have my fingers crossed...

Love the ensuite Rolanda! I won't be able to use my bathroom for a couple of days as I will come out green all over (from envy - not really funny if you have to explain it is it???)

MizT, I've told d2 it's 'just for fun' to reduce worries, though I'm not sure it's working. I've also said that she may not come, but I hope she does...

My house looked a lot better at 3 than it did this morning. Unfortunately then d2 got home, followed by d1 at 4:30, and it's trashed again... Grrrrrrr

OH MY coffee tastes very good this morning. some days are like that, even though I use the same "recipe" every day.

For unknown reasons, I was up and down last night like a cheap window shade. To make up for that, I slept in today. It is a holiday here, and I deserve the extra sleep!

Hubby was just UP most of the night, chatting with a friend. I am glad he can go to the dome to chat, and I do not have to hear it!

Well, I did not get my ice cream cone yesterday. We had lunch out instead, and were not hungry enough to eat it all. Levtovers became dinner, no cooking, I can vote for that! Picked up the needed Milk and cat food, the 2 things I run out of most often, and came on home.

Not many people out and about yesterday in our area. Saw several gatherings at homes along the way, with the plastic kiddie pools of water for the littles, and umbrella or gazebo shades set up for the adults. I guess people just could not afford to travel this year, and entertained at home.

Good Morning MizT and all the rest that follow today.Glad you had a chance to sleep in Miz T...Its good to be able to relax on occassion.
I have to go get my hearing aids checked out...had to go to the doctor's office yesterday because a part of the hearing aid became dislodged and was stuck in my ear. He was able to remove it with out too much trouble, but to say I'm not a happy camper is an under statement!

Good morning everyone! Still quiet today, guess it's all the people off on holiday or visiting Sudoku friends...

Sorry I haven't been here much lately, not a lot to say I suppose! Spending time getting ready for the party on Saturday and getting the room ready for Broni to sleep in.
Mamacita, I am glad the doc was able to retrieve the hearing aid piece easily.
Rolanda, I hope you are ok after your trip to the dentist.

Phew.. thankgoodness that is over done with for another 6 months..

Hi all! Been busy with parades, soccer tournament and cleaning the garage. Had to repaint a storage shelf and I think I over did it. My back is really sore!

June, hope your back feels better and doesn't interfere with your holiday. It sounds like you put up a good fight at bowls. Next time!!

Ruby, glad Rudy is ok! You should go see Indiana if you liked the first 3 movies. It won't disappoint you and it takes place 21 years later so everything fits.

I don't know what happened. I kept getting a message that the post didn't go through because it timed out. Never got that message before!

everyone. I'm so happy, could just bust. My sister went through training, passed the test and was hired as a nurse's aide. She says that she loves the job. Yay!!!!

June, sorry to hear that you lost, but it sounds like you put up a good "fight." Hope you have a great time on your trip.

MizT, peaches do sound good. We're going to have to wait until this fall to get good peaches here. There's an orchard about 20 miles away that has cling free and lots of other fruits and veggies. I better stop, starting to drool.

Ruby, glad to hear that Rudy came home ok. I bet in no time, he'll be up and at 'em.

Mamacita, glad to hear that he was able to get it out. Got to admit the first thing that popped into my head was the commercial telling people the only thing you should stick in your ear is your elbow.

GAIL, I am sure your house is spotless by now, you can relax and enjoy the company now! I hope all of you have a great time at the get together, sounds like a lot of fun! Wish it were closer to me! Or i was closer to it, whatever.
