OH DEAR, now I must go back a page to finish reading, did not know we were that close, surprise, I got a TOPPS. It was NOT a race, posts have been very slow loading for me today.

GAIL, how is hubby keeping up with more than 3 computers going at one time himself? and please whisper the answer, do not want mine hearing and thinking he must have more than one on at a time!! He does have one and a half set up in his office, one on windows OS and one on Lenox, but with a splitter so same monitor and keyboard. If this is greek to you, ask your hubby, sure he would know.

You are asking the person who till recently had to get her CHILDREN to turn the thing on!
I know he has one dedicated to drawing up machines on the cad system and thats about all I could tell you! Personally I think one is enough but apparently it's not!
Hey, it's his hobby and at least I know where he is at night!

Yeah hubby has 5 and a Mac, greedy little sod! LOL! and 5 screens, mices and speakers all to himself!

It's funny sometimes watching him cursing his mouse because it isn't working...till he realises he is using the wrong mouse!!! Karma!

Wish we had some web cameras around then we could all have joined in Gail. I think that is probably one piece of computer hardware we have never had. Oh I have just remembered that D#1 had one built in to her previous and sadly deceased laptop. I'm sure DH has one on his but that is his dedicated programming machine so is off limits to me.

Morning all! Out new laptop has a webcam built in, but we haven't set it up yet... Only 2 computers in this house, and it is a problem. Last night we all had to take turns...

Anecdote from a proud mummy: Wed last week one of d1s 'friends' tormented a very young girl on the school bus. The tormentor is 14, the tormented probably around 8. d1 walked into the house, dropped her bag and told me how angry she was. The next day, tormented didn't take the bus and tormentor laughed and told d1 that she was disappointed because they couldn't have fun today. d1 said something like 'it wasn't fun, it was never funny, it was just slack'. I was so proud of her for saying what she felt!!! Especially since bullies like to change targets when people stand up to them.

Brenda, I have been thinking about web-cams, too. I think I recall that they are not expensive. Soft-ware? If we can't cross the pond, at least we could have a conference call. This calls for investigation.

As far as I know, pooter cams can be purchased for only about $20 Aus, because my youngest daughter has bought one of her own, but that is way beyond my comprehension!

It would seem that I, Gail, am still logged in as Liz! Will see what I can do about this anomaly!

Good Maen Sudoluland! I am making coffee here, at almost 11 AM local time, I am very late this morning. I seem to have my nights and days confused! But I did get my 8 hours of sleep, that part is very good.

Hubby found me still asleep when he woke this morning , so the dear man just tiptped out to his office and made his morning coffee out there!

Forgot to mention, I did get up for a few about regular time and checked on the page, hubby was still asleep, so I went bacck to bed. THAT explaines my 2 posts about 3 hours apart. Extra 2 and a half hours of sleep did me a lot of good.

Good for you MizT...I also slept in a little...course I didn't go to sleep until almost time to get up.....oh well, the phone woke me...it was the groomer asking if anything was wrong since I was 1/2hour late taking Jazz in for his bath and haircut...we were only 2 1/2 hours late getting there and now he'll be forever getting back home....poor baby...and I didn't get enough sleep.... Oh my,please excuse me....Good Afternoon All. Hope you have a great day/night....me, I have stuff to do.....even tho I don't feel like doing it!

The party must have been a good one yesterday. I called around 5.30 and it was still going on.

I didn't get my sleep last night! Think it was my aching shoulder keeping me awake... I tripped over yesterday. All is fine, just a little ache.

d2 anecdote - d2 is almost 12, not quite 5 feet tall, and of average weight. Yesterday we were not allowed in her room while she cleaned it as she wanted to surprise us. Late last night I finally saw her surprise - she had rearranged her room, including her bed, a pine chest of drawers, bookcase etc. How did she manage that??

A quick check in and no time to catch up with all the gos. Will do that when we get home tomorrow night.
Had a wonderful day at Gail's place yesterday meeting up with the Melbourne 'family' and Broni.

Suzy, maybe the house rearranging elves were wearing slippers while they helped you daughter change her room.
My youngest often changes her room around but she is noisy about it, bumping and dragging furniture around.

Hi Brenda, It was great being in Melbourne and able to get to Gail's party. Today is Grandson's 6 th birthday and he is having a reptile party with live reptiles!
Using the laptop at the motel and I am a bit slow.

Brenda, I didn't hear a thing! But I went shopping with hubby so the noisy part might have happened then...

June, the photos are great. It's good to be able to put faces with names, though I had seen some photos before..

June, don't forget to let us know what it's like to hold the reptiles!

Rather you, June, than me. I don't like snakes and lizards. Hoping that your grandson has a wonderful birthday.

I don't like snakes, but I like lizards. There are some I keep away from as they have a nasty bite, but I like having them around. I am sad when I see a bluetongue in my yard though as I know it's only a matter of time until it ventures into the back yard and becomes a play thing for the dogs.
