RUBY, we are forecast to stay just above freezing tonight. I hope they are correct. I did get a few pots planted today. Huumm, should I go and cover my containers? Or take a chance?

Took Max to the dentist and the xray showed that he had 3 big teeth above his baby teeth on the right upper side. He's late in losing his teeth. The baby tooth next to the eye tooth has been loose for 6 months but won't come out. The big tooth is now sideways.(which is different than the last xray he had) The dentist thinks that may be the cause of the infection. (it got underneath the loose tooth) He has to wait for the swelling to go down and then he is going to pull the baby tooth on Friday. Hopefully, this is the cause and it will solve the problem. He was surprised though that the tooth and the gum didn't hurt.

Stella, another good garden catalog/site is Jung. They sell almost anything you could want. I think your are in Zone C. If you want to, try doing container gardening. I've decided that's what I'm doing this year. Instead of watering a good sized garden plot, only the containers will get the water. Our water rates have gone up 25% since the beginning of the year and within 5 years they'll more than doubled.

Good to hear that you know the cause of Max's problem and that soon he'll be ok.

Tomorrow is our anniversary. Don't know where the time has gone.

Hi everyone. All this gardening talk is making me jealous. Although a lot of our snow has melted the weather has decided to get rather cold again. I am waiting impatiently for warmer weather. Even Amber has had enough of the snow. We are supposed to get snow tomorrow. I guess I will just have to think warm thoughts.

Gail and I had a somewhat splendiferous Yum Cha and were wise enough to stop asking for 'one of everything' before we split our sides. Our offspring didn't embarrass us too much [not sure about vice versa...]
We wandered over to the local shops for a hot chocolate & cappuccino afterwards and were warmly thanked for the entertainment as we left the shopping centre...

The 'kids' were dueling with toothpicks ... yep ... you read it right.....
After a lucky shot Hannah had Lachie decked on the ground with furniture crashing all around....
[the 'real' story is L'ie tripped over his feet dodging one of H's glancing barbs.....]

Yep..you can invite us anywhere!! Luckily nothing was broken and after a good belly laugh G & H left for Alexandra.

Sounds like a fun night out Bean. Lachie I wonder what Hannah's side of the story is? No matter what it is, as long as you were ok and nothing was broken then it was just a bit of fun (reminds me of my family we can go anywhere once but twice would be a bit risky )

Thanks for all of the well wishes for Max. Every day I keep thinking I will wake up in the morning and the meds will have finally gotten rid of the swelling. But his face was still swollen(not as bad) this morning. I made him go to school anyway. He can't afford to miss any more school and he has a soccer game that he insists he can play in tonight. If he can play soccer, he can go to school!!

I just realized, yesterday was our 31st anniveresary of when Jerry and I started dating. We usually remember it every year, although we don't really celebrate it. I guess with all of the drama in the last couple of days, it slipped our minds. Oh well, after all this time, I guess we are entitled to forget!

CynB, I love your chocolate couch cake! Very apropos for here!

Getting a chair avatar is proving difficult. Every one comes out black! I couldn't find any Easter ones because of that. I'll have to search again later.

GARDENING REPORT: We JUST missed having a freeze and a frost last night. I did get up early to check my plants for frost. None seen. I have had good luck in the past, with a late frost, washing the frost from leaves before sun hits them, and plants not damaged. That is why I was checking. I did see a light frost on roof and windows of the vehicles, but temp did not go below freezing.

Wheew! it starts to get much warmer nights now, and by weekend overnight low will be 60! That was yesterdays HIGH, welcome to spring in Alabama

Hi MizT, we are in Autumn and had a 30 deg day here, is all out of whack!

I finally found a few that worked. Now waiting to see if they get approved. (which probably won't be until tomorrow, Aussie time.)

Broni, that's pretty warm for Fall!

Stella, that is hot for us even in summer. We are in spring at the moment and supposed to have a high of 8C/46F. Never mind the sun is shining even though it isn't too warm makes me feel a bit better.
Hope Max's face swelling has gone down a bit more today.

The snow they predicted is falling. Hubby is staying home from work. Not fun doing tree work in the snow. Warm thoughts aren't working. Someone please send me some warm sunshine.

Rena - the warm sunshine has already gone from here (3 week long summer this year) so I thought it had already headed up your way! I've put my heater on this morning to see if that helps push it up your way....

Broni - same here in NSW. Summer was cool and dreary, come autumn and we got days in the 30's! This morning is pretty cool though, at least by my standards. We are so spoiled with our range of temps....
