I lost a good deal of hair when I developed thyroid issues, Bean.

I hope Rena and Amber were in training before their departure. They're setting quite a pace.

Please pass on some cyber hugs to Tami, MizT. She would be feeling really bad and unsafe. I remember how I felt when our almost new 4WD was hotwired and stolen. A gang of thieves wrote it off, but not before r***** a young girl in it. I could never sit in it again. The insurance company fixed it, we sold it.

Horses are very social animals, and quite curious. I Vet friend actually let one of her horses come in her house (on a dare), The horse broke through the kitchen floor.

Did Tami say it was just her car, just teacher's cars, or general vandalism? We always had someone watch the cars for after-dark school events.

This reminds me. Someone once gave me a piece of advice which was when out and about, put your car / house keys in your pocket if possible, not your handbag. If your bag is snatched, you can still get to your car and into your house. It's awful that we have to even think about ways to protect ourselves.

Just stopped in for a minute. thanks for all the hugs. I had gone to my son's school for a PTA meeting. When the meeting was over, we found that 4 of my car windows had been smashed.

Poor Tami! I had my car broken into over 20 years ago. I had taken my wallet out of my handbag and left the bag in the car. That was when I learned to never leave anything inviting in the car! I have also been robbed while at home, a year before the car break in. A druggie climbed through the bathroom window to take my telephone bill money off the table - a huge deal on my student budget! The only window he could have seen it through was 6' off the ground! It was very lucky that I had won the deadlock argument (not locked when we're home) and he was able to leave. If he'd been stuck inside who knows what would have happened! A Uni friend came over and slept the night on our bean bag and the next day my mother drove up to Sydney with her drill and made it so all of the windows could be screwed shut or open a few inches....

By the way, I hope I didn't imply that you left stuff in the open Tami! With 4 windows broken yours seems to be vandalism rather than theft.. Which I think is worse, at least there is a point to theft.

Susan, I got the same advice, and was shown how to hold your keys between your fingers to make a weapon. Hospital I worked at brought that class to us, self defense and safety. It has been a long time since I used it, do not go out after dark a lotnothing I really want to do close by. and I hate driving after dark. Nope, not scared, I just do not see as weell.

Tami said above she was at her son's school for PTA.
Hopefully that means it was just a random act and not directed towards her. Being a teacher is hard enough on your personal property with just incidental and accidental events.

I've also got the brain is in neutral and can't type out a full sentence that makes sense... probably a good reason for staying home? Pity we are all hungry...but we do have toilet paper and dog food...the essentials!!
