hi all!
i have tried to get on and post a couple of times the last few days, but i keep getting torn away from the pooter for one reason or another. i miss you gals! i have read a tiny bit, but you talk sooooo much that i find it quite daunting to read 20 something pages. i hope everyone is well. i am doing great. i am loving having my family all together. of course that means i am a bit busier in some ways, but it is a more pleasant busy. i check in later hopefully.

Mariana.... Please don't let it be daunting. Skip the 20 pages if you want to. Just dive right in to the present convo. If there's something you think you missed, just ask. OK sweetie?

Had a 1 hour delay in working the calves. The friend who will help us can't make it 'til 2 pm. IH was supposed to ask him last week (he offered to) then forgot to ask him until this morning. There are days when I think banging my head against a wall would be a more pleasant experience.

Morning all!
Sneaking in while I can. I think the computer is going to be busy again today…
MizT and Stella , my friend, Linda, rides a Yamaha 650 V Star. I bought a bike when I was 16 and 9 months – the earliest you could ride back then. It was my main form a transport until I finished Uni at 22. I then bought a little car, 5 weeks later it was totalled, and I was nearly totalled! I always said I should have stayed on the bike. There’s a pic here: http://www.chromeworld.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=catalog.catalog&categoryID=300 but the seat is not quite right. Linda’s bike has a little padded back rest thing for the passenger.
Stella – HUGE weekend for you! Lots of driving…

MizT., so they added diabetes to your list? A lot of people are getting that diagnosis these days. In fact, I'm surprised they didn't check you for that first thing. Every time I go to the doctor they say I'm fat and must have diabetes. But I don't and I refuse to have it. You, on the other hand, will deal with this well. When you get your meds adjusted, you'll do fine.

Morning Suzy and Ruby. Just got through all the puzzles. Girl is up so there will not be much time to get back here today.
Have to move all the stuff in the pooter room today to get the cupboards in. Amazing what I am finding in the pile of junk. I even found a lovely big medal from the Australian Olympic Committee that I did not know Hubby had. He does the work but never makes a fuss about the rewards.

My girls are still asleep. They have always been relatively late sleepers, though tended to get up earlier on weekends (go figure!). Now they are a teeenager and an almost teenager we have to drag them out of bed!

The weather is nasty here this morning - wet and windy! Thank goodness I went on the bike ride yesterday...
Hmmm, checked the forecast and tomorrow is supposed to be more of the same. I think I will be pulling my coat out again before I head off to baseball...

Good Morning SA7, hope you are all well. No time to catch up on the previous posts. My new bedroom suite will be delivered in a couple of hours I still have so much to do...and have a shower hehe!
Muggy, wet, windy and hot today and we are supposed to have more damaging storms coming through, at least everything outside is battened down (I even tied up my dinghy to the front steps in case we get flooded)
Catch y'all later.

Broni, my theory about that level of preparedness is that it is an almost guarantee that you won't need it! Fingers crossed...
Liz, less than a mm of rain here, but the clouds are still around.

I'll answer and respond as I read.....
Suzy, we send the calves to a feedlot in Kansas, where they have all they can eat until mid-April. Then they go to the National Foods plant in Dodge City, Kansas. You know.... where the fictional "Gunsmoke" took place.
