Oh Mariana, how lucky you get symphony tickets at that price. That would be a good match up for you 2. Now, do you dress fancy dress to go? Maybe not in the 9 dollar seats.

thought you might giggle at my idea of gun and knife show and yep, I live in Alabama, but since attendance at that show is voluntary, I pass on it. The more upscale boat and outdoor show has left town till next summer, so that was out for a suggestion. Not even a decent car show around. Mud wrestling had to move to indoor arena for the winter, and it is not the same now, looses something when under a roof. the Extreme wrestling is having a problem finding a venu. Jeff Foxworthy or one of the blue collar comedians could be at the comedy club up in Birmingham, though.

That sounds a lot like Kentucky culture, MizT.

I just got up. It's 1:38 pm. I think my body was a bit too stressed out from the workmen.

I need to get dressed now, and have my brekky.

Susan – my daughter came home all excited after doing cooking classes at school and wanted to try the dishes out on us. Unfortunately the classes only lasted a few weeks and when it came time to choose electives cooking was beaten out by other options…

Gail – why will my garden grow slowly? Retribution for my cruelty? I hope your friend gets the job. What a great story!

Brenda – sorry to hear about your job. I hope you find another one quickly – though not toooo quickly. Good news about your renovations!

Stella – I have my fingers crossed for you. I still say medal, I wouldn’t cope! Having said that, we did drive over 6 hours and stay in an awful caravan for 3 nights so Ebob could play baseball, and have a 2.5 hour round trip for her games on Sundays.

Mariana – you too! I hope Benny makes the basketball team..

June – hello from me!

Speaking of slow, will it be this slow all weekend while everybody else is going to meets?

So we don't feel slighted, how about a weekend long party here? I've got a little wine, and a lot of rum and whiskey!

Morning Heidi!

But the snails are gone now! Well, the ones silly enough to climb up the walls and onto the lawn anyway...

I doubt I will get to be around much this weekend. Although I'm pretty sure I'm not meant to be working all day for this McHappy Day thing, no details have been forthcoming so we're showing up at 10.30 and we'll see what happens then. Even when I'm home hubby will be hogging the computer! Only a few weeks to go and he will be finished for the year...

Hubby and Uncle, and #1 son are just about ready to go to MIL to start loading the truck. Aunty and I will stay here and make up heaps of sandwiches for lunchtime. Will go to the new house when I get the call they are on their way.

Peter's Aunt and Uncle have come up from Albany late last night in the Removalist Truck, to help move MIL. They run a small Removalist Company down in Albany.

Thankee Rolanda, for the Here I is Post. been missing you. Hope all goes/went well with the move.

Heidi, that avatar would be appropriate some days for a few of us, You could rent it out!

Nope, do not think it will be quite all weekend. I plan on being here. I should change my avatar, though, there were too many blue hats on the last few pages.

Hubby and I ran some earands today, and for some unknown reason, all the sales people were at least human, and most of them were very nice! Couple of them joked and laughed with us, a plesant experience.

must have got me into a very good mood. Had to visit the loo,, and was hurrying into the store beside this young Mom with 4 children, one of them an infant, and the others not a lot older. She seemed in a very big hurry, so we let them pass. Once I got to the bathroom, there was the mom and children again. Oh, did someone have to go potty fast? Now Mom talked gently to the kids, and got them into separate stalls, helping those that needed help. I hear her praise them with "good Job" as they came out and she led them to wash hands. As I came out, I see Mom standing beside the changing table and that infant, such a cutie, lying there. Mom is not changing baby, but scrubbing and wiping at her own shirt with wet towels. I admit, I looked, this was unusual, what was she doing. She grinned at me and said, baby had an accident and got all over my shirt. Yep, it sure did, could see brown stains. I offered to help and she seemed reluctant to accept, but I told her, go over to the sink where you can get water and take care of your shirt, I will stand here and make sure baby does not fall off. You can watch us in the mirror and i will not touch baby unless she starts to fall. guess she thought I might be trustworthy, so she did a better job cleaning her shirt, and thanked me. When I left she was changing baby and talking gently to the 3 others who were waiting. I wish I had my Good Mother of the Day banner with me, that Mom deserved it! Talk about grace under fire!

Forgot to say, Heidi, thought you might recognize some of those activities. I did make some of them up and exaggerated a few others, but these things are part of the culture. I am from the south and I can talk about us hehe. had a couple of been there, done that, never again experiences too.

Broni, glad to know that CRAFT is alive and well, makes life more interesting, doesn't it? Would it hav anything to do with your late night IMing? I think hubby was suffering with same thing, he thought today was Saturday. Told him yes, it is, in Australia.
