Yeah, I wanna know what was posted on Easy too! Yum yum dinner tonight. Daughter doing cooking at school, so we get to eat Friday nights without me cooking - Chinese tonight. I've convinced her to continue on in the subject next year!!!!

We had some fun tonight??? A big though short thunderstorm hit... the lightning was hitting the ground which was 'exciting' - not!

After it all stopped we went outside to have a look around and there was a serious snail exodus in progress. We quickly grabbed a container and started collecting, then got a bigger container. There were so many of them we couldn't believe it! We even weighed them - 1.5kg!!! The chooks next door had a feast... how cruel! But my garden is going to go bezerk now...

I really must have a moment with our Gail. Not only does she break our SA page regularly, she just broke my internet connection! Teach me to IM her when she is busy trying to fix something.


Beware if Miss Gail puts up her BRB running man smilie, cause he is gonna come running back after she is booted and run amuck through your puter.

Seriously, Gail, that is why I disappeared from our IM chat. I got booted from MSN just as you signed back in, booted with some error message and I could not get back in. So I went back to bed for another nap! Do you suppose that will teach Miss Gail not to mess with me? I am a champion napper.

Looks like I missed the fun again, empty playground again. Drats.

Hurray I have finally caught up with the posting for the last week!!
Today is my last day of employment I'll miss the money but not the work. Might have a break before deciding if I want to find another job, though at the moment jobs a scarce.
Bathrooms are finished, apart from painting new woodwork. Having cavity wall insulation done now. The drilling is giving me a headache but will be finished in a couple of hours.

Brenda, how wongerful to hear from you.
I can't stay, just about to shut down for the evening, but couldn't go without posting to you.

Another retirement party. YEAH!

Just heard a funny story tonight on the phone.
Have been having contact with a woman in regards to finding a Guides meeting for Amber while she is here. Things looked and the date was set, but the best laid plans etc...
Anyhoo, was talking to her tonight and she told me how she had left her job last week due to the work she was doing was not the role she was taken on for. She is already going to agencies for a new job and was on the train, on her way to an interviews with an agency today. She happened to overhear two women talking about the fact they would need to find someone else because the one they had wasn't suitable. Well, this shy woman turned around and introduced herself and her situation, showed them her CV and the next thing she knows, she might have got herself a new job, doing exactly what she wants...AND closer to home!
Networking, she called it! I wished her the very best of luck!

Ive had the bigining of a goiter for years,
but because the thyroid function is ok,
the doctors told me around six years ago, they will only need to look at doing something if it starts to cause me trouble, ie if i start to get a niggly cough........

No Heidi, I haven't told anyone before that I was leaving my job. Earlier this year my husband's company got some outside investment into the company for a 30% share in the company. Because I was the book keeper for the company and also did payroll and invoicing, the investors weren't happy as I am the wife of one of the directors, so I had to be sacrificed to get the investment. Totally unfair on me but I had to do what was best for our livelyhood.
