Hello Vici - thank you for visiting my photo gallery and for your lovely comments about my photos of Albany. I am indeed very lucky to live in such a beautiful place which a lot of locals take for granted and don't realise how beautiful it is.

Oh Vici! I am so glad it did not notice you! That would have been dreadful. I've heard a lot of "use your camera or tripod to fend it off" If I ever came face to face with one - minus the car - I have the funny feeling my hubby is going to find the camera with a perfect picture of the panther's tonsils and uvula I might try to fend it off with the tripod - and I certainly hope I can scare it off with the flash...otherwise.....the darned panther is going to be burping Cuban food for a while.

I have posted some new photos taken up the hill on Monday. They are on my Flickr page. The blue orchid was what I was waiting for! Seems silly to wait for a sun loving flower to open up so I could take it's picture but the things I do for a photo are a bit strange.

Thanks for starting up my 4th page Vici. I have not taken a photo in days - I am having withdrawal symptoms. I think I am busier on holidays than I am at work! I liked the addition of the cockatoo and beetle as well they go with the flowers somehow. They were both taken by my husband when I think about it, there you go.

Hey Vici, no probs, i was also trying to point out (in a roundabout sort of way) that I didn't just happen upon your words - lurking is a luxury of time i just don't have...I think SA-ers 'may' think that the SA page is a sanctuary away from Easy - for the most part I'd say it is...but when people are talked about as if they're not privvy to the conversation (i.e. they only ever comment on Easy and never visit the SA pages...) anything that does get written both positively or negatively is open for debate/censure if it's happened upon...as it is on every page on the site - including what I'm writing here. I hope I'm making sense, it's just a point i think that gets overlooked all too often.
The exchange that took place on Easy that day was tame compared to what Deb has had to deal with in the past,I'm not saying that there was a right or a wrong to what took place - as I've said, either one of them had the opportunity to walk away from the exchange, they didn't - their choice.
it's one thing I've noticed, the more time and emotional investment you put into this site the more vulnerable you are to getting hurt as it's all the more harder to walk away from it if the site has become an integral part of your life...
it can happen before you realise it - it is addictive and I'm not saying it lightly.

from one whose association has been far too long - but thankfully doesn't have the need to log onto Sudoku.com.au at every waking moment!! -which i once did...

Thanks for visiting - there are such a lot of interesting plants to see in the bush I am having a great time exploring.
I saw that there was a group on Flickr based on stick figures in peril and remembered that sign on our box, we ROFL when we saw it.
I hope you take lots of photos of your beautiful bulbs when they pop up! It will be a fantastic display.
