Thank you very much for your very nice comments on my pictures. About Lanterns Festival... Montreal and Toronto(I learn recently from Jane from Mississauga) have one every year. Toronto is earlier in the year then the Montreal one. I use Google.ca ... lantern festival...and got info on both...but did not save any...because I will be in Brisbane for this time. Hope you can make it to either one... they are spectacular!

I think that it was Susan from QLD who confused us both. My quip to Keith the other day about not being able to make the San Francisco get together was what confused us all. Of course I wasn't going to make it over there and it had nothing to do with any travel plans.

Hope that things are going well for you. This week, I'm participating in an ESL (English as a Second Language) Train the Trainer course. Better get in and do my readings before I go off to uni.

It is almost 14months since my mother died and my sisters and I had been putting off the big 'sorting of junk'.... Last minute decision to do it this weekend - it is so hard to find a spare minute in our busy lives...

I have a sister living about 35-40'away and we drove up to Swan Hill [about 4.5-5hrs away]where our other sister lives after school drop off on Friday [Thurs.4U].We have shed a few tears, had a few laughs and all I've done is sleep since I got back...physically and emotionally exhausted. One good thing about the long car trip is my sister and I had a chance to talk without interruption... probably the first time since her first pregnancy 20[?] years ago...

Look forward to catching you awake....i need your telephone number and then I could ring you...

I didn't know that they were Australian. I do have a privilidged job with my travel to remote places but am delighted to have 4 weeks in town.

Hi Vici! Just watched your lion film - it actually brought a tear to my eye ... I must be getting soft in my old age! Also loved the music - not a song I recognised, but the group was unmistakeable - I have many records by Pentangle from way-back-when in my "folky" past. Thanks for showing such an amazing story! :)

Are you kidding? If you look at the pics of Jane, Kathy and me, you'll notice the tiaras I brought back east! YES! I like the tiaras and boas, although Keith is going to look awfully silly with a tiara on his head!

Ok Vici, I'll count him in for a tiara. There's a party store nearby, that's where I bought the tiaras. They're for little girls but they're cute. They come in silver with a blue design or gold with a pink feathery design. Now boas, I think I saw them. Will price them out!

I live in Roseville, near Sac. Thanks for the invite. My life is complicated right now due to a recurrence of cancer. I had a scary allergic reaction to chemo yesterday. (But, in a rare show of courage, I got a ride and went to my Tuesday night Bible study -- feel much better today.) I look forward to playing Sudoku first thing every day!

I agree, I love this time of the year too. The sky is usually beautiful bright blue, the leaves are colorful and the temps are bearable.

Whoa! You're a fast worker! I haven't even driven near the party store for the tiaras! Will try this weekend, if not the next. But you're getting a dozen boas, so does that mean a dozen people are coming? Or a dozen women? Even though Keith is protesting, I'm still going to get him a tiara and will try to get Lynn to help me get it on him!

so much for the kind comments on my pictures. The mysterious picture on the green mosaic in the top left hand corner is actually the light shining through the stained glass window on the chalet we stayed at earlier this year. It just happened to be a green coloured wall it was shining onto.

Ha Ha - thanks for having another look at my picture - most people think I am a bit of a nutter. Especially my family as I will suddenly squeal 'oooh look at the light' and make a grab for the camera!
