Stella, it's really easy. Cook 1 lb. of cubed stew meat in water. When done, take meat out of the broth. Strain and keep the broth. Slice up 1-2 carrots, depends on size and how much you like them. Dice a med. onion. Put these into a big stew pot. Put 1 16 oz. can of each veggie in the pot. You can use more than 1 can if there is one you like more. I use 1 can of dark kidney beans and 1 light. Pour the broth in, then add 2 32 oz. cans of tomato juice. Add 1-2 Tbsp. of sugar to cut the tomato acid. Simmer all day. I start it in the morning and let it cook all day, refrigerate overnight, then simmer half of the next day. It can be eaten on the first day. Personally I think it tastes better after 2 days of cooking. That's it.

AH...you are talking about my favorite subject...not. I have asthma, and its no fun! I see on easy that Rob was in the hospital for several days suffering...I'm glad shes on the mend. This would be a good place for her...She more than likely is or was on steroids, and that makes you talk a lot and feel better than you really are. It also doesn't let you sleep too much. My kids and a couple of the grand suffer too. I know how to treat myself pretty well now and can stay out of the hospital for the most part. I have my own nebulizer, and as soon as I feel something change, I'm on the phone with the doc.

I had to get a second nebulizer so that my daughter could have one in her room rather than going to the infirmary. I kept the older one here for my youngest son since it is at least twice as big. They mostly have trouble when they catch a cold, but if they are around someone who smokes, even if they're not smoking at the time, that can trigger it too.

Stella, are they allowed to take them to school? The last school I was in they had to be left with the nurse.

When I was still working, I had to give myself shoots and had to leave the meds wih the nurse, but we could all use our inhalers. In fact, my kids always made sure I had mine just in case. Even my bad kida were so kind to me when I wasn't feeling well sine many also had asthma and knew how it made you feel.

I don't see why they should care. From what I gather, it's pretty hard to put anything in those.

It's probably better for her to have it readily available to avoid emergency situations. I'm not sure if there is staff 24/7 at the infirmary. She might have told them we were bringing her one when she had to keep going back there for treatments.
