Nite June, that is where I am heading too.
June, think I may have to suffer the consequences, fresh baked bread, butter, prawns with a squeeze of lemon and sea salt and pepper, now that is what I call a feed.

Hello! Good Afternoon from Illinois, USA! Too many days have too few minutes lately! I just read a bit of page 18 (yes, way behind again).

Suzy, hope you had a wongerful birthday with lots of cake and gooc pressies! (My first chance to use that spelling.)

Tami, wishing your Mitchell a belated thirteenth birthday! Hope he had a special day. You, my dear, will get over it eventually, though 13 sounds pretty scary when your first reaches that age.

Gail, sending positive thoughts and prayers for Bill. I hope I will read in upcoming pages of an improvement!

Hugs & best wishes to all!

Gooday Julie.
How are the knees going? One step at a time I hope.
I have come to the decision that it is too hard (and I am lazy)to put up the christmas tree this year.We won't be here on the day and I am back at work Boxing day.I will admire the kids, although Renaes looks a bit tattery because of the girls and the cats.
The residents went on a bus tour to see all the homes decorated as they usually do,and were disappointed that many hadn't done so this year, probably because of our high electricity costs now.I am dreading our bill when it comes.

Haven't seen anything from Rol&a lately. How's your Mum?

June, sending positive thoughts & prayers for your friend!

Nola and June, would love to share some of our cool with you. Highs are in the teens today, and my knees are REALLY stiff.

Tami, so pleased that Bernie is back at home. Please tell him to take it easy!

CynB, share some extra hugs with Emily! I hope you both enjoy your week together!

Julie....joints don't seem to like the cold weather,I know mine don't,but my skin does.
It was a bit cooler here last night.I slept without the a/c, just the fan. There are fires again down south.I hope there are no lives lost this year and people can evacuate in plenty of time.

If I get everything done in town today,I can spend the next 2 days at home doing whatever. There is always plenty of housework etc to catch up on.

Morning all!
I don't think I'll be on the computer much today - forecast high of 40C and no aircon. Yikes!

Mum has already left to do her thing, shopping, bills etc. Better to do it all before it gets too hot.

I hope to get the tree up today, decorated tomorrow. We'll see.

Julie, the taekwondo photo was taken with my trusty Canon point and shoot. I couldn't believe it when I saw it! She passed her grading by the way - yellow belt now!

I hope the weather eases up so your knees are not as stiff. I really do wish we could share the temps around a little bit..

everyone.
Strange day here. We have a newborn heifer calf and I don't know who the mother is. I spent time out in the pasture with her and the mother didn't approach.... so I walked the pasture to look at the cows, and nobody looks like they've just given birth. Besides, The Vet pregnancy checked all the cows last month and all are due to calve starting in 2 months..... and 9 months ago, the bull was not in with the cows. I may make up a bottle and give it to the calf a little later, in case it was rejected by the unknown mother.

The mechanic has been working on my tractor. He thinks that he'll have it running tomorrow morning. He tried to jump start it, and it pulled all the charge out of the portable charger. He's replacing the starter now, and we'll know if it's the only problem once he can actually start it.

Just got off the phone from Bill. Apart from the neighbour's dog that was going nuts through the electrical storm they had last night, he had a good night's sleep once the pill had kicked in. He said he's feeling as right as rain, best he's felt for a long while. Not much on his agenda today, just his daily trip to the shops, but he said he's ready to face the world again.
I am so pleased.

Back here for a bit before some slinging.

What WONGERFUL news Rol&a about your Mum & just needing to take a pill!

Gail, it seems from what I've read so far that there's good news for Bill, as well!

Sending continued positive thoughts for your friend, June. As it's Wednesday in US, I suppose Thursday has begun in Oz. Will keep prayers going your way!

Oh, dear, MizT! SOOO good to see you here, but SOOO sorry you had a fall. I hope that doesn't set you back too far. If you can't take a warm bath, do you have some warm compresses or perhaps a heating pad? I hope you'll feel much better soon!

Enjoyed seeing eaa's photo/picture! Thank you for the link, Heidi!

Suzy, you certainly keep busy with your girls & their activities! How did you ever find time for yourself on your birthday? Continued positive vibes for blonde Pride girl!

Here's hoping everyone is doing well with their holiday shopping and card sending.

Physical therapy is going well. My therapist works me pretty hard, for which I am thankful! Range of motion is improving and I'm using the excuse of physical therapy & exercises to explain why I haven't started working on cards. Better get to work on them soon, or it will be mid-January before they get sent. (We'll spend the holidays with D#1 and her family at their home, with D#2, as well. Then all of us are going to Disney World. I hope I have caught up on reading before we leave, or I'll have 2 weeks of reading to catch up when we get back!)

Interesting about the calf, Heidi! But then, it's called "Surreal Farm" for a reason, I suppose! Perhaps the cow will come to the calf's aid tomorrow?

Some cows like to "hide" their calves and only go to them every few hours. I suspect that this is the case. I will go out later and check up on the calf. I am still baffled as to how we wound up having a calf now.

My mother just called from a friend's house - she's visiting their aircon - and told me to get stuck into the ironing! It's 40C and she thinks I should be ironing! Sorry about the swearing, but it's milder than what I said to her about ironing today....

Hi everyone, hope you're all well. :)
Yesterday was a scorcher here - had to put the aircon. on so we could get some sleep. Much cooler today, and now the heavens have opened up - beautiful rain, all my veggies being watered! Lovely!
I'm stuck at home waiting for someone to pick up a broken computer - they said this morning... they're late and I have Christmas shopping to do ... oh well, will have to go back to my "farm" ...
Wow, thunder and lightning now!
Have a great day everyone. :)

Friend is back home. That is the first one for about 9 sessions over every two weeks till the end of January. She was able to change the time till later in the afternoon on Monday as we all wanted to go out to lunch for Ken's 70 birthday. They said she will get very burnt as they are doing deep penetration.(I say nothing but that also worries me that they do not do any damage to other internal organs.....everything is a juggling game)
Thank you one and all for your positive thoughts. They are very much appreciated.

Gail and Rolanda, wonderful news for both of you.
I spent a busy morning shopping and looks like most of it is done. Just a few things that I need the people concerned to be with me. Like I want a new pair of shoes!
Suzy, I have a large pile of ironing I keep pretending is not there! It is 38*c at the front door and there is no way I would even look at the iron!
