Hi all and nice to see new names here too.
I was surprised to find SA4 and that, when I first came on line this morning, there was already 4 pages nearly full. I tried to post but it got lost but that was my computers fault I lost connection. Haven't had time till now to get back and find we are now on page 5. I think I will have to bring my rocking chair in here so I can sit around instead of missing people all the time. It will probably be warmer here than at home.

I'm going to do shepherds pie and peas for dinner tonight, it's one of my husbands favourite meals.
Rolanda how long will it take them to remodel your ensuite?

Hi all, Rolanda have your ears been burning? I have spent all morning cleaning brass and copper, if you hadn't been in a turmoil with the remodelling I would have dumped the lot on your lawn!!! When our Easter visitors turn up, the first words will be "Lynda, can I help you clean the brass and copper?" It is never good enouth for some. Now the windows. June, hope you're feeling better. My neighbor's son gets kidney stones, so she makes him banana smoothies for breakfast. If hubby's willing to give them a try, they seem to help.

Dino, glad to hear that you're doing yoga again. I remember how much you said you missed it. Maybe a few safety pins will keep the pants up tho, don't want to give anyone the wrong idea.

Hi Rolanda and Becky! Nice to catch you here! Unfortunately, must head to bed since it is midnight and I am exhausted. Is there a shepherd's pie recipe on the recipe page? We've never had it here and it seems like something good to try!

Been busy. Trying to get things done around here. With this new job, I had to fill out a bunch of paperwork for insurance, etc. Now I'm trying to do our taxes.

This past Saturday was the bridal shower, next month is the wedding. I've been asked to help serve the guests, so been trying to find a comfortable pair of shoes that look nice.

My mom used to make shepherds pie. I was wondering if she makes it different than she did. So, Brenda, would you give us an idea how you make yours?

not sure if there is a Sheperd's Pie receep on the page..

basically it is mince, tomatoes, onions, stock, herbs cooked together, then topped with mashed potatoes , and then cooked in the oven for about 1/2 hour

will go and look for my recipe for Sheperd's Pie ( also known as Cottage Pie) and post it..

Sounds close to my mom's. Her's had hamburger and veggies in a gravy, topped with mashers or biscuits. Then baked until hot through and top brown.

When I make the Shep Pie, I usually add finely chopped veg like carrots, zuchini, celery etc to the mince when browning the mince and onions.. then add the tomatoes, then the stock and herbs. and let simmer stirring everyonce in a while for about 1/2 hour..
then place in casserole dish, and top with mashed potatoes

well Becky, I know a Cabinet Maker who could do the tops for the Kitchen!! I would have to go with him of course and help you decide what countertops you want!!

Come on over. Bring wading boots though. All of our snow and ice are mostly gone. Now it's raining to beat the band. We're supposed to have 3-4 inches with widespread flooding. Don't know which is worse.
