This is what happens when you try to be good - we went through our low-fat cook-books, lovingly chose an interesting and tasty recipe; Rob shopped while I got things ready - we sliced and diced and mixed and .... made a complete dogs-breakfast of it! So much for organisation; so much for healthiness - and so much for the dips and dry bikkies that Rob bought as a little "extra"!!

Gail, I've just told Ebob she is soooooo close that if she doesn't finish by bed time she can't go to baseball tomorrow... That way the last bit should get done. (she says with much hope)

Judy, I've never ever done anything like that! (Is there a crossed fingers, tongue in cheek smilie?)

Suzy, you are so tough! I can just see you making that girl stay home ... not!
So, how can you know how much 2 cups of cooked macaroni is when it's uncooked ... I guess there's some kind of formula, but I don't know it. Or did I miss that lesson at school?

I think it is about 1:3 uncooked to cooked ratio, at least it is with rice.

Broni, he still thought we could do it, until I laughed so much at that article, then he decided I might be a bit too unstable to continue painting....

Hi Suzy
Have you had any rain down your way?
Would take ages for paint to dry here in this humidity.

VIV, at the moment, I will take a bucket full of your humidity to help you out. Our humidity is so low for our area, weather man is suggesting people boil a pot of water, or turn on a humidifier. We have a " fire weather" red flag alert cause of low humidity and wind, any fire that might start would likely burn out of control. NOT good, for areas where wild fires are uncommon and there is no one to fight them!

I am up in the wee hours of the morning, cause a kitty wanted to walk ON me. she is now happy atop my computer tower, now that I have turned it on. when on, it is warm and it purrs to her. I shall leave computer on in sleep mode so it continues to purr, when I go back to sleep mode, maybe kitty will leave Mommie alone.

SUZY, that was a funny article, I got a chuckle, thanks! Hope the painting continues tomorrow and you are happy with the results. I have found there is a major difference in how a room looks empty for painting, and when all the furnishings are returned.

Suzy, I let my kids get on with their own rooms. If there is stuff all over the surfaces then dust can't settle on it
I must admit that I rarely go into their rooms, but if I do I will comment that they need tidying especially sons room.

Gail you and Suzy are embarrassing me. Whenever I need decoration done I get someone in to do it.
Two reasons 1 It's hard work. 2 They do it so much better than me
I used to do all my own decorating, paper hanging the lot but now with the arthritis (my excuse) I cannot do it.

Good morning all! A little warmer today, 21F. We may get a big snow storm tomorrow, but it is too early to tell. It could miss us. Last two days of school vacation, back to the routine on Monday. I need to remember to cut Ian's hair before then.

Kitty report, she slept nicely on the computer tower for the last 3 hours and I slept nicely in my bed, minus one cat hehehe.

Sunny day, blue skies, it is starting cold, but should warm considerably by mid day. Temps have zoomed up from 27 (-2.2C) to 37 (3.2 C) since the sun came up, on its way to 61 (16C) I must remember get out some mid afternoon to enjoy the warmer temps.
