I don't know what set it off. I have been doing a lot of walking... checking cows.... but I suspect it's the predicted weather change. They're calling for snow. This is the leg that's full of metal, and has the tendonitis.

Morning all!
Viv, you might have hit the nail on the head. The humidity may have gone up here as the ceiling dried very quickly! Good thinking 99.
MizT, that is scary weather. A lot of the firies who fight bush fires here are volunteers. Trained, but unpaid. The 'city' firies are paid employees. I'm glad your kitty let you get some more sleep.

Brenda, I would go along with letting the kids decide how tidy their rooms will be if they didn't keep losing their school work, uniforms and shoes. If they knew where everything was in their disaster areas, and got all their homework in because they knew where it was, then they could have them...
Gail, same here. Would much prefer to have had someone else do the painting...

Stella, I love the cleaning poem! It is so true! You should see my house today... The furniture is in the wrong room, stuff is scattered everywhere... it will take hours to fix it and I can't really start until the painting is done, which I can't really start until hubby gets home from taking ebob to baseball...

Suzy you cannot expect your house to be tidy when you are decorating.
I know when I had the workmen in doing the bathrooms and heating my house was a real mess, I am not house proud so there is usually something lying around when it should have been put away, but those weeks were really stressful.

At present we are going through all the stuff stored up in the attic. This must be the third or fourth time we have gone through it in the last ten years... each time we have gotten rid of some stuff but not much. This time Richard is discarding stuff he has hoarded for years (long before I met him)Some stuff he is going to send to the tip others we a freecycling and a minority of the stuff is going to be sold on ebay, so we will hopefully get a bit of cash from it.

Tens of thousands of Victorians are expected to converge on Melbourne's CBD on Sunday for the national day of mourning following Victoria's deadly bushfires.
Production crews are putting the final touches to the hastily arranged memorial service at Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena that will begin at 10am.
Hundreds of survivors will be shuttled into the city from fire-ravaged rural towns for a memorial service.
At least 209 people are known to have died in the massive February 7 fire storms, most of those from a sweep of towns and villages northeast of Melbourne .
The service at Rod Laver arena will feature services by political leaders, religious figures and other dignitaries.
Victorian Premier John Brumby said the event would be a "magnificent opportunity for Victorians and Australians to come together".
Representing the royal family, Princess Anne flew into Australia on Saturday to join other dignitaries including Governor-General Quentin Bryce, Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and Murrindindi Shire Mayor Lyn Gunter at the ceremony, officially known as the National Day of Mourning, Together for Victoria.
The service will be broadcast live on television and radio around the country while a bushfire appeal concert will also be held later on Sunday at the Sydney Opera House.
Bells will ring across Victoria at 11am to mark the start of the memorial service.
Sydneysiders wishing to support Victoria's bushfire victims can view the National Day of Mourning - Together for Victoria memorial ceremony at live sites at the Opera House and Olympic Park.
The 90 minute event will finish with a minute's silence and a message of hope from the prime minister.
Speaking on Macquarie Radio on Sunday, Premier Nathan Rees said the people of NSW had "opened their hearts like no other state".
"There's been an absolutely extraordinary response to an extraordinary fire and this has been one of those occasions when all Australians have pulled together as we've confronted the horrors of this bushfire and today is an opportunity to pay our last respects to those people who perished," he said.
On Sunday afternoon, leading Sydney jazz musicians will perform at a benefit concert in aid of Victoria's bushfire victims in Sydney's inner-west.
The artists, which include Galapagos Duck, Billy Fields and Bob Henderson, will perform at the Unity Hall Hotel, Balmain from 2pm to 8pm (AEDT).

Judy: I think 1 cup of dried pasta = 2 cups of cooked pasta.
and Gail is right about the rice : 1 cup uncooked = 3 cups of cooked rice.

Gee, Heidi, the temperature there must have fallen like a rock! I checked just before your rain started, and we had about the same temp,in the high 50's for you, just past 60 for me. ! That, or the weather site was being untruthful to me. Enjoy your snow.

Big job in front of me here.
I cannot be bothered though as it is so humid.
I have quite a few items of clothing left over from when I was selling UnderCoverWear.
I am making up a list of them to send firstly to a friend who is still a manager with them to see if she wants anything.
Then I will photograph each item and post on ebay to try and sell them.
