Daily anecdote: Today Dana made toast for her and Tahli. She cut her toast into half slice triangles and gave Tahli cute little quarter slice triangles. Tahli looked at both plates, picked up one of her little triangles, put in on mum's plate and took a big triangle. Not even 2 and already not wanting to miss out!

HEIDI, the initial outbreak of whelps was an allergic reaction to something. the angio edema was a secondary reaction to same thing. The yeast, well yeast is opportunistic, it is going to bloom wherever and whenever it has a chance. If your body's defenses are down, here comes the yeast.
I agree with Julie, adequate would be well liked by Gil. My dad called that just 'getting by' and he was against it hehehe
Nola, I am glad there is progress on the rental house. I am wishing for you they do finish on time.
Vicki, so glad that all is going so well for your Mom's transition to a retirement village. Perhaps it is because it was meant to be? Too bad both Moms could not have been same hospital, would have been easier for you. Try to enjoy son's birthday without guilt over leaving them on their own. Your immediate family deserves a break.
JULIE, what is going on in your busy life? You did a fine job of summarizing the posts, but forgot that we like to hear about YOU, too. How is the puppy you are sitting? does it do any cute things to endear it? What about your music, are you getting in your practice?
OK< must run. I shall dress and go downstairs to deliver quilts to Jan, activities director. Then I must see if I can get a place on the bus to wal mart. I am not ready to drive yet, and runing out of a few things.
Hugs to each of you, with extras.

The word ''adequate'' is guaranteed to throw me into a rage. I have warned IH to never use it, or it's concept, around me. But it IS his favorite word.

Well, quilts are to go to Jan NEXT week. I did join a group for 'roundtable discussion at the square table'.hehehe, just a gab session, people coming to join, others dropping out. I got to see the veggie man, signed up for wal mart tomorrow, picked up my lunch. Tomorrow I will use my walker and then get one of wal mart's electric scooters once at the store, because both wheelchair spaces were taken by folks who can not walk.

I heard from the horse farm in Ocala today. They believe that they'll get the breeding done tomorrow. So I'm heading down there the first day I have both the RV and the trailer back. Since I'm driving alone, I don't have to worry about coordinating schedules with anybody else.

Broni and MizT, hoping improving health is on the way!
Suzy, I always enjoy the Tahli anecdotes. She's a sharp one!
Heidi, perhaps you could do an 'adequate' job of shopping and buy only the food you want. I completely understand the way you feel about that word and its meaning, as well as MizT's father's 'getting by.' Anything less than a best effort was unacceptable in my parents' eyes. Great news that the breeding may be done tomorrow. Hopefully the trailer and RV will both soon be ready, as well!
Puppy is an early riser, so also early to bed (by 10 pm). She's up by about 5:30 'at home,' but we're stretching it to 7 am here. Hubby brought her back from her walk and let her inside while he took care of her poop. He said he asked me to take the leash off, but I didn't hear him. She just said down on the entry rug and waited for someone to take off the leash. She is really a very good puppy!
Since puppy and our cat don't get along, we are having to keep the cat in our bedroom and bathroom. Luckily we have food, water and litter box there anyway, but it prevents her from being able to roam about the house. She has been very good about it. The results of her vet visit last week are that she doesn't have kidney or liver issues. Her thyroid is at 11, but should be around 4, so we are having to give her medicine. Her heart rate is elevated and breathing is somewhat labored because of the hyper thyroid. We are trying to keep her calm and unstressed. Our vet is a holistic, naturalistic vet and told us that if oral medicine is too difficult (which it has been in the past), she could get a compounded cream to rub on the inside of her ear. Luckily, she tolerates us doing that!
Heading to bed now, so sending positive thoughts, healing vibes, prayers, {{{{{HUGS}}}}}} and
! Good NIght!

Tricia - I love your stories about where you are living and the trivialities that go on in that type of close quarters.
My sister and I were having lunch yesterday when a friend of hers stopped to say hello. She lives in a retirement village and some mutual friends have just moved on there as well. She was saying how they really should not have been allowed to move in until settlement of the money had occurred on the following day - and then immediately afterwards told us that she and her late husband did exactly the same.

Cyn, there seem to be those kinds of rules here also! We are having a crack down on persons without a parking sticker who are parking in our lot. One lady said, and quite put out about it too, that her son got a warning letter on his car. 'They should not have done that. I do not drive, they should let me give my parking sticker to my son'. Have I mentioned there are 145 apartments in this building? there are less than 50 spaces in our lot, and a few more across the alley. Having elderly and frail residents who no longer drive is only thing that makes parking almost manageable. She never thought of that, just HER son should not have to park on the street hehehe
OH, one day one of the staff got a warning for parking in the lot hehehe. I think they should not be allowed, they are able bodied enough to walk across the alley or across the street. Our director was putting out the warnings, and he did not recognize Jan's auto.
JULIE, I liked hearing about your cat and the puppy. I am so glad the vet was able to furnish the med as a rub on cream, since it is so hard to pull the cat. It is indeed a good puppy to sit patiently for someone to take off leash. How old is puppy? and what kind of dog is it? Boy or girl dog?
Heidi, hope the breeding takes, and Sere is pregnant soon. Also wishing your RV repaired and ready for you. How do you go to Florida, how far south do you travel I 65? I am very close to freeway, if you come through Birmingham, and would love to have lunch or something with you. I imagine you do not come through here though, but thought I would ask.
Time for evening meds, and then probably an early bedtime. I have to be up early again tomorrow to catch the bus. The physical therapist who measured for my chair wants to see me in the chair to make sure it was built as ordered, and I do not have any problems with it.
Hugs to each of you, with extras.

Past bedtime here, so a quick hello.
Heidi, hooray for new tires installed on the trailer. Hopefully you'll receive a call about your RV being ready soon!
Cyn, I hope you enjoyed your lunch with your sister!
MizT, you're right; we're not pulling the cat. In fact, Jordy (Jordan) is being pampered as we try to get a little more weight on her. The hyperthyroid really took its toll and in a fairly short time. She enjoys sleeping on a really soft throw on our couch. Since she can't leave the bedroom until Friday night when the puppy goes home, we have placed the throw on our bed - in the middle between hubby and me. Hubby has almost half of the bed, and Jordy and I share the other half.
The puppy is actually about 16 months old, a 16-pound miniature schnauzer named Jeet. Since she's a small dog, we still call her a puppy. She is very interested in Jordy, but Jordy is not at all interested in her, so we're keeping them separated to reduce any possible stress.
Heading to bed now. Will see you all tomorrow. Sending all of you {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, happy positive thoughts, prayers, healing vibes and

Hi everyone. Today I had a quick swim in the Mediteranean Sea. I am not much of a swimmer and it was off a boat and in 70m of lovely clear water. I like to be able to put my feet on the bttom so I did not stay in very long. We have a free afternoon and have a lovely room looking over some high mountains and also the sea. Beautiful!
We have visited many historical and religeous sites. Saw house where Mary was reported to have lived after Jesus died and the buiel places of Apostles John and Phillip.
It is very hot (38-40*c) so walking in among the ruins of ancient civilisations is not easy. There is very little shade. Turkey has lots of beautiful marble in their mountains so these ancient cities must have been very beautiful.

As an Australian Gallipoli was an emotional experience. For those who studied ancient history and love the old Bible stories places like Troy, Izmir, Ephesus,Hieropolis all have meaning.
Enjoyed seeing the limestone pools of Pamukkale (google them to se what they are like) was great but very hard to get the photo that is always so famous.
I have read this last page and thought of you all.Just not the time to make lots of comments so just letting you know how we are doing.

Hello my friends,
This has been a week of hospitals and surgery for several family members and myself...mine was the on-going procedure to keep the gall-bladder going strong, but it has been complicated a bit due to my skin and the wound site becoming very sensitive to the continued movement. There is no infection, but is fairly painful, so the doctor had to put some silver nitrate ( I think) in to help scar tissue develop
to ease the sensitivity... not a big deal, but my very young cousin has had many surgeries since his birth 8 years ago to try to correct an on-going problem he has had since birth. This one was very risky and he has been placed into a semi coma to help deal with the pain and swelling. The surgery was over 9 hours, and we will need to wait for a week to ten days to know if all is well. Please keep him in prayer. If that wasn't enough, my brother just got out of the hospital and now my sister is hospitalized for respiratory problem and low oxygen levels...she couldn't walk or talk. Both she and my brother are in their 80's so again I ask for prayers.Things are looking better for all as of now, but it is still worrisome.
June, love hearing about the trip...The ancient cities must be hard to enjoy as much as you'd like with so much heat, but your swim in the Mediterranean Sea sounds so very refreshing that I am just green....what a wonderful experience you are having. I'm so glad you are feeling better.
Heidi, glad things seem to be working out for you and hope your trip is rewarded with a lovely, healthy and impregnated Sere upon your arrival in Florida.Safe travel.
Julie, it was good and enjoyable to read about the puppy and Jordy...do hope you are able to nap occasionally with your late nights and early mornings. How are the cello videos going? Are you happy with the way your squeezed practice time has allowed you to advance? I know you were having to deal with a lot just as you were about to start getting ready to learn some new music for the recital. Glad you are sticking it out even with all that continues to keep you busy. I wish I had some of your energy.
Hey Tricia, I checked out the link you sent and as you said, lots of stuff there to tempt a person. Hoping by now your meds are treating you a lot better and the rash is just about cleared...no fun feeling medicine effects and still not well. Broni...bummer about your cold, but glad other things are falling in place...or at least you are putting them where they need to be...away from bothering you.
Suzy...how's your walking now after some rest? Make sure you tell your doctors about the effects that come when your body becomes overly tired, and perhaps they can help you with some things, besides the obvious rest breaks, to lessen the heaviness in the legs that make it so hard to keep moving. I'm thinking of some leg exercises that can help strengthen the muscles in the back and legs...something along those lines that will lead to longer pain free mobility.

Wow June nothing like flying in luxury. What a great gift.
Have been busy doing Avon deliveries yesterday afternoon, all day today and all day tomorrow.
My son left home to live in Newcastle and I am doing up his room as mine.
The walls have been painted a lovely lilac colour, with white ceiling and window frames.
I have ordered the bed setting and mattress.
Also put bedding on layby at Target.
I have bought some lovely 213cm drop white lace curtains and ordered some lovely lilac drapes online which are on their way to me.

Heidi, knew you would turn east somewhere, hoping it would be further south fore you did. Have a good trip whenever you do go.
Julie, thanks for the information about your cat and the 'puppy'. To bad they cannot be play mates, would be easier for you.
June, glad the diverticulitis Has cleared. Hope the cough is soon gone. Interesting places you are seeing, looking forward to your photos.
Mama, prayers and good healing wished going out to you and your family. Just too many people being sick there. Do let us know how your nephew is doing. Having to wait 7 to 10 days to know results is hard on all concerned, even us here as concerned onlookers.
Heidi, Yeah RV is ready, Boo that Sere is not.
Viv, thanks for the get well wished. Your health problems are important also, so you can come tell us. I will listen, I promise. I am better today, except for yet another NEW malady. Dermatologist was wrong when he said spot on back was a cyst and leave it alone. It has turned into yet another boil. No, I have not called doc, about only thing they could do that I am not doing is antibiotics and with just almost clearing the current yeast infection, I do not want antibiotic pills or shot. I will plod on with local antibiotic cream and cortisone tabs and cream to the area. Always something with me.
I saw the pix of the new room, love the color. the curtains and drapes sound lovely. You do have a LOT Of windows in that room to cover. Hope the ordered things arrive and are just as you visualize them.
I am tired, and ready for a nap, even if it is 5 pm. At least a lie down for a bit. No idea why I am tired, only thing I did today was go to a Christmas Card making session downstairs. They want hand drawn cards, and will choose about 6 of them to be used as the Christmas cards for EP to send out this year. I cannot draw worth anything, but have some ideas using old Christmas paper and scissors to cut shapes, that might work.
Hugs to each of you, with extras.
