I was just taking a closer look at your avatar flower. Is it a pink dogwood?

JUNE, very observant, yes, that is a pink dogwood. Some are much lighter pink in color, but some are that dark. I thought it a good avatar for me, we have lots of dogwoods of all kinds around this area.

Hot chocolate does not keep you awake? It bothers me almost as much as coffee! Not sure which has the most cafien in it, huumm, something to goggle one day when I have nothing to do.

Hot biscuits (scones?) just out of the oven, time for my breakfast. I think they would be good with plum jam.

Hi MizT. I love dogwoods but they do not grow well in Sydney. I did have a white one for a while. Saw lots when we went to Canada several years ago.

It was interesting reading the other day how you made your plum jam.
I just do one kilo (2 lb ) fruit, cook well, add 1 kilo of sugar and juice of one lemon and cook in the microwave until it sets.
The pour into my sterile jars. No baths etc.
I use the micro wave as I do not tend to burn the jam that way.(but I also only make small quantities)

Broni, I hope your surgery goes well and that Bella and Teresa speed you on to recovery.
What a trip, Mary! Enjoy.
June, I can't grow dogwoods either.
Suzy, I taught eighth grade for thirty years and saw girls do some very cruel things. You came out pretty well.
Rolanda, thanks for the quiet, but we all weren't asleep.

Took the girls for the school holiday hair cuts (d2 was more adventurous, d1 kinda stuck/choiceless with her masses of curls), visited a new friend, walked the shops looking for steak knives, now home and hiding for a little bit....
