Darrell & I went out for lunch--Mexican food!! YUM! His friend Terry is working on laptops (received from pawn shops in town) UNFORTUNATELY, Terry is not laptop trained (or certified--like Darrell is) so he comes to Darrell for advice. Darrell & Terry were in the National Guard together, so D, being the good soul he is, feels he HAS to help Terry. I feel Terry is infringing on Darrell's territory (and expertise). Am I wrong or do I have agreement here????

Vicki, I can understand your feelings about dirty dishes and pans! Right now, I just have 1 person who sometimes leaves things sitting. Found out a few days ago that in the week or two leading up to D's wedding this summer, we will have at least 10 people in our house. I don't function well with a houseful, so have already begun freaking.

Brenda and June, yes, there is a fire hazard with a clogged vent on a dryer. Aware of that, one reason I was so grateful she came to clean it. I do not use the dryer much, in fact, have not used it for my clothes since it was cleaned. Joy washed and dried 2 loads of hers, and they got through in good time, better than before.

Teresa, did you get accumulation in your snow/rain/snow event?

Heidi, hope that foot is getting better. any possibility the foot is the reason for your low grade fever? You would not want to get an infection in the injured tissue, those are hard to clear up, I hear. OH, today while driving to Clanton, I passed a pasture full of cows and calves, pretty Black Angus cattle, I thought about you and your calves.

Theresa, did the new kitty get fed and given a warm place to sleep? I love a talkative cat, miss Miss Scooter's vocalizations. Scooter is almost silent, just sits patiently waiting for you to notice she wants out or wants fed. Tell us more about Tabby.

Julie: Thanks for asking about George...I haven't heard from him in a week or so. I sent him an e-mail with some info and he said thanks...but that was the last word from him. He's been posting on FB under his alias. So I know he's hanging in there. I will send him an e-mail soon.
Terry IS a great person, when Darrell was in Mississippi in school a few years ago, he drove me around wherever I needed to go. He's trying to learn about laptops & he knows Darrell completed a course on certification a couple of years ago. Now Darrell is going for his Associates Degree in repair and I think Terry is just trying to learn. I know what you mean tho!

Hi all. Long time, no "see."

Much too busy of a day today. I had to buy auto tags, our tax on vehicles. Plus pay the penalty fee, cause they expired last month!! Yes, I knew it was month to buy, just time got away from me, and my back hurting too much to drive that far, down to the county seat, city where our county (sub division of a state) does business.

I just cannot take 4 hours out of my day and get everything done. I did not geet a sit down, other than to eat breakfast and dinner, till 9 pm. not good for the back problem! But took over 2 hours for my trip to buy tags and go to wal mart for less than 10 items. OH, I did stop at the dollar store also, needed pickles, love their brand of pickles! Got home so tired, went straignt to bed, well first thing after giving 5 oclock meds to hubby!

After dinner, I had to get everything ready for an early launch tomorrow, I am going to my appointment with pain management. 7:30 am, in with the rush hour traffic! Get his morning feeding and morning meds ready so he can do those while I am gone. I really thought my BIL was coming down tonight, and he might have done some of this, but did not happen. Joy has conference alls, she could not do it. So I shoe horned it into my evening.

Now, I am waiting on evening meds to take effect, so I can get some sleep. Had a really good night last night, night before , I almost saw sun come up for getting to sleep, just one of those nights.

HI Becky, good to see you. I got your e-mail, but as you can see by my post above, life has been too too busy for me to answer. How have you been? Glad you came back to say hello, hope you can visit again more often.

Good night all, I hope to get back and read pages 15 and 16, perhaps tomorrow afternoon, but do not bank on it!

BTW, Al is doing well, just a bit of nausea, kind of expected with chemo and radiation. the radiation burns are healed, he is still on antibiotics after the pneumonia, and I have been trying to find out when radiation will resume. the docs will meet tomorrow and decide something. Hope they let me know. whomever returned my call today, Al talked to them, did not even know he was out of hospital! AND I only have phoned radiation 4 times saying he is home and when should he come back. A"HHHHHHHHHHGGGGGGGGGGGGG, I do wish they talked to each other in that office. They also said he should have seen the chemo doc yesterday, but they told us make an appointment for the 28th, which we did. Sometimes I wonder about them, and all doc offices, you know??? If the patient does not act as his own advocate, things just get lost.

Gail, score one for pain relievers, I have some good ones, and can take a small dose and still drive. That is how I still manage, that, and you do what you have too.

Also, Wal mart has riding carts for handicapped, I took one of those. We are lucky, a trip to motor vehicle office was a breeze, parked right outside, when in and was asked by a clerk, may I help you? Total time start to finish 5 minutes.

I remember the days I had to buy at a busy courthouse for Birmingham, having to stand in lines that went 2 blocks though the park. With an infant or toddler in a stroller. ALL tags then were sold in one month, everybody, state wide, one month. Now, tags sold 12 months of the year, really helps.

Becky, arthritis in my lower back, gets bad enough to keep me from walking, I drag a foot and stumble instead of walk correctly. That and fibro, not a good combination.

OK, I really should go to sleep, 6 am comes early.

Elaine (my daughter) has to teach that too. She was delivering lambs the other week. Had to bottle feed a couple too. Our dogs just loved the smells on her clothes

I'll have to head off soon to pick up Alie from the school dance...

MizT, the tabby seems to be living under our porch. I feed the outside feral cats every day, so I'm assuming she eats there. If she's still around in the fall we will have to take her to the Humane Society. I want to take her to the vet in the near future to see if she possibly has a microchip - there'e no charge for this.
