June, my sister lives at Nelsons Bay - not too far from Amelia from Medowie. I just need to ask the boss and then I can start looking at flights (shhh... don't let my mother know otherwise she'll want to come too).

Good afternoon all - I've read what I missed and have now forgotten what I wanted to say.
Judy - that sounds an ideal choice as a memorial to your father.
Vicki - will you be seeing Amelia while you're down that way. I'm hoping they'll head up this way one day.

I said this on Easy and will repeat it here. This is my 'Love and Hope for Japan' avatar. It's a bit late, I wish I'd found it sooner.

Good Afternoon my friends.
Yep, Zusy you did ask for it hehe!
Hot and muggy again (is it really Autumn?) and will be most of the week. Oh for joy! Cooled off in the pool so feeling better now. That hot box of a tin shed will be freezing in winter. Don't want to play anymore!

Oops, I logged on and forgot that it takes me back to easy.

My comment - Broni, I only go to work for the airconditioning (and the money).

Suzy, were you expecting something else - money/chocolates/champagne/briberie of some sort - 'cause you've come to the wrong person.

I spoke to the boss and I'm definitely not working those 3 days. Now I'll just run it past hubby (not for his approval but just to tell him I'm going) and then speak to my sister and check times to book planes that suit her.

I don't know if I'll get to see Amelia. I'm always so busy when I'm there (doing nothing in particular, just catching up with Katrina). I might wait until I'm there and then give her a call. I hope we can find time for a coffee.

Now I've taken up most of this page I'd better go and organise some dinner.
I still have to speak to people about cleaning up after themselves.
I arrived home at 10:30 last night to find all the dishes still on the sink. No one had packed the dishwasher and then there were the saucepans that needed to be washed. Believe me when I tell you I was not very happy or polite. The first dish went into the sink with a very loud "PIGS". What made it worse was that I hadn't had any dinner at all! Definitely Not Happy Jan.

Hope everything works out well for your planned trip
Vicki.
I've read up to date but my mind is a blank as to what I wanted to say. Hope everyone who needs a (HUG) can feel them coming from me (even those who don't need but want one)
Temps are starting to rise here so spring has really started. It is 9c at present but supposed to get up to a balmy 14c today.

I'm with you on that Vicki. It is just as easy to stack dirty dishes in the dishwasher than to pile them on the worktops. I also dislike it when they do wash the pans, but leave them on the drainer to dry. I know it is supposed to be more hygienic to airdry but it is so untidy and it means I have to put them away.

OK freezing cold 14c Broni. I don't think I could stand 33c+ for very long Broni, fortunately we don't get that sort of temps very often.

Bowls has 2 teams of 4 players and that makes a side. Each team gets 1 point for a win , they add the scores together for an overall win for 3 points. We had a win and a loss (my team) but won overall so we are now coming first. Three more games to go and very little between the top 3 teams. Started off with a shower of rain but then the sun came out and it got rather hot and sticky!

Judy, love the choice of the grevillea for your father. I have a rose in my garden that my dad bought me just before he died. I often 'talk' to the rose as though I am getting a message to him.

Pretty muggy tonight. I think I might head off and put on the AC in the bedroom. I do not think I will wait for another hour to see the eagles swap when they wake up.Seen them do that lots of times now.
