I'm going to get ready for bed too...been partying at Ian's place while he was away, and had wayyyyyy too much clean up with some folks just making a mess...it was fun though...see what Ian has to say now.....heehee catch you all later I hope..on the flip side. Peace!

Good morning all! Another mixed day here, sun and rain. We're supposed to get the word today whether they can repair the car or not. We had to bring the van in today to make sure it's ok for the trip tomorrow. It's old, 1992, so you never know if it's going to make it. D#1's car, old as well, 1989, kept stalling yesterday. That's why she was using our car on Monday, because her's was acting up. This is the never ending story!

Maen sudokuland! I have my coffee, the AC is running on freeze, keeping the house almost cool, so all is well here. Yesterday Alabama broke a record, the nineth day in a row with temps above 100 degrees. That is actual air temps, they did not count the 10 days before when the 'feels like' heat index was abouve 100. Many local areas had the hottest day ever recorded yesterday, with 107 in several locales, and this is offical temps. Now on the way to the grocery, I saw one of those temperature signs showing 110! On the way home hour and half later, it was 112!! Scarry just to see that!

One meteriologist (weather man) had an interesting explination for the high temps. We are in a drought, the soil has no moisture, and therefore no evaporation of water from the ground. Evaporation is one of the cooling mechanisms that moderated temps. OK, if he say so!

I am off to finish putting away the groceries. I ran out of energy yesterday. It was late when I got in, I had dinner to warm and serve and i put away only half the groceries. thihs was my shopping trip for canned goods, and I had LOT! So they are awaiting me , now that I had the first cup of coffee.

now having a quick lunch break, before continuing...

ROLANDA, STELLA, you two could share some of the good weather! ours was. . . you guessed it, a repeat of the same! I am up in the middle of the night cause I got HOT, my not-so-dear hubby came in from the office dome after I went to bed and he turned off the air conditioners! AAAAAAAGGGH, it will take most all night just to get this house cooled down after today. Your temp of 77 sounds so delish, and totally unatainable for us, I have temperture envy at the moment hehehe

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Robert. Hope the party, and the birthday in general are a huge success.
