Maen all, I have the coffee pot going again if anyone wants to join me in a cuppa this morning.

Might be a bit cooler actual temps today, but humidity is up, so the ' feels like' temp will still be high. I have been out to water plants early, and to set up the smoker. today i shall put a turkey on to smoke, been a long while since we had turkey. I try to do one regularly, either smoked or oven roasted. Been too hot to oven roast! I do not turn on the oven when temps are 100+, be that actual temps or feel like temps.

Tomorrow we have a wedding to attend. I need to find a way to make my new shoes more comfy. They are new, as in unworn, but I bought them about 2 years ago, for another wedding, and then found I could not walk in them! The maker wanted a nice material for the toe port of the inside of the shoe, sandle, but evidently did not want to use it for the entire shoe, so they put a seam, right under the ball of the foot. I did not notice that in trying them on, but when getting dressed for the other wedding, nope, could not walk in them or stand. Soo, now I am trying to decide what can be done to make them more comfy. seam an inch forward or backward would have been Ok, but just not right where it is. Me and my woes today, seems there is always something hehehe. No great shakes, can wear the black sandles just fine if I do not get these comfy, but they are a neat bronze and that metalic color is in my outfit. A girl likes to be coordinated!! Well, there is black in the print of the outfit also, but black is so . . . boring.

Hello, anybody around. Today I shall pick up my mom and bring her to stay at our cabin for the weekend. We have had some hot weather lately, not as hot as MizT's though. Summer is almost over, the bushes are red, the nights are cooler and Hubby keeps saying winter is coming. He just can't live in the moment. It has been a good summer. Amber has learned how to dive and likes to swim in the deep water now. The smoke from forest fires hasn't been too bad this year. It was horrible last year. That's enough rambling for now. Have a great day wherever you are.

Mama, thanks for the cool wishes, today was a LOT better. ONLY got to 98 degrees! the morning was actually plesant, a huge t-storm nearby that rained for almost 3 hours kept temps cool and the sun behind clouds. no rain for us, but you could smell the rain and we enjoyed the cool breezes and temps comming off it. At noon, it was only 84 degrees, a real treat after all the heat!

Do all hubbies wait till the last minute? I made pictures for the bride's kitchen, she is 'doing her kitchen in chili peppers'. Ok, found a neat photo, enlarged it, cut only part of it, then a second part from the opposite corner, and made two framed and matted pieces of art for her kitchen. Hubby found me lovely square frames with mats included, we removed the not so interesting pictures in them, and he was to spray paint the frames red for me. when did they get painted?? Today!! I just got the gift wrapped, and ready to go tomorrow. At least he was not painting them an hour before we were to leave hehehe.

I am still having coffee this morning, anyone care to join me? I got a late start today.

We had RAIN again over night, with a lot of lightening and thunder. Has to be loud to wake me hehehe. We were beginning to need rain for the lawn grass, it was looking a bit stressed in places.

Because of the rain and all the moisture, it is steamy outside today. Hope it will keep the temps a bit moderated, we shall see.

Hope the Birthday Party went well for Rola and Robert. Rola did say she will be absent a bit from our pages, because a house guest will be residing in the computer room, limiting her access. Hurry back Rola and let us know all about the party! Sincy you have guest in the computer room, I shall change my expectations, give you an extension on getting party photos online. How's Monday PM suit ya? :>))

Well, it's afternoon here - and only 3 comments since I went to bed last night! Hi, June & MizTricia! MizTricia, we have also had some rain today. We didn't have any yesterday, but had the clouds all day, so only hit 80's, but dropped to 60 degrees last night. We got to open our windows! WOOHOO!

Maybe we'll see you when it's daytime for you, June? Hope all is well!

Hope Robert's birthday party was a success, Rolanda!

A wet rainy day but went to daughters to finish sewing the tank tops. Sharon and Laura came as well. Laura was put out as it was too wet to ride the horse but a bit surprised when one of them came up the back steps and Laura was able to feed him while standing inside.
Finished the tops with one extra and Belinda said I need 35 not 25. She rang one of the other teachers..........and 25 was enough. I really need to do some housework, so glad it did not mean another days sewing!
One of the horses went off to the vet. Has cancer in the eye. Decision time tomorrow. Just remove the eye or put the horse to sleep. Will depend on the prognosis.

We all know how hard the decision when it is a favourite pet.

So sorry to hear about the horse June, please do keep us informed.
Very glad that 25 was enough!!!
The bag is a multi-coloured thingy with red as its dominant theme. Its a bit like an old school satchel in design with a flap that just goes over the top and buttons at the front. The thing I like the most about it is that it has a button up pocket on the front for the mobile and keys so I don't have to rummage in the depths!
