Hi, just popping in to see you all before we go out. Not sure where to yet but anywhere will be good.
Gail thanks for providing the goodies for a birthday nibble. I see people have been indulging Everything tastes good and has the added niceness of not having any calories.
We are having a chinese take out tonight so looking forward to that.

Thank you Brenda, it has been a loooong two weeks. Bit concerned that the temps through the week are getting hotter with still no rain in sight.

Enjoy your chinese tonight, it is usually our birthday dinner of choice.

Good Maen Sudokuland!

I am having my morning coffee, would anyone care to join me?

Heidi, sorry about the calf, hope the vet has answers for you.

Gail, stay safe, I am thinking of you.

Liz, good to see you posting again, I have been missing you!

Same for Vici, both of you come back often, we always enjoy hearing from you tow.

TAMI, glad you made the trip safely, I was thinking about you and the long drive.

Suzy, all this talk about your orange room, may we see photos please?

All I can remember now, but I have an excuse today. Did not get to sleep till almost wake up time, not a fun night. I really should go back to bed, see if I can get a couple more hours.

After the disaster of last night (IH is delivering the fetus to the State Diagnostic Lab), I have GREAT news. One of the cows just had twins! And she wants them both, so I won't have to bottle raise one. One bull calf, one freemartin. In cattle, when there are twins born.... one of each sex... the female calf is ALWAYS sterile. Her reproductive tract does not develop in utero, She is called a Freemartin instead of a heifer. So it's like having a bull and a steer born.

My snow crocuses have finished blooming, Vici, and the Tulips and Daffodils are sticking up out of the ground. Such hopeful signs of Spring.

Congrats on the twins Heidi. I learn so very much on this site, never heard of a Freemartin before. I am glad the cow accepts both of them, you have enough to do without bottle feeding a calf!

I'd rather bottle feed a calf than a lamb. Calves don't bond as tightly to you, and are easier to wean.

My crocuses have their green up, but no blooms yet. I have lots of tulips and daffodils sprouting green, but hope they don't try to bloom as we will probably get more snow or cold temps that will stunt their display.

VICI, I have no idea what Rolanda and Lizzie was saying either. Huumm, we could take it to a Dutch to English translator online, but I am not that ambitious or that nosy either hehe. Nice you have tulips showing green. Only thing I have showing green is day lilies and it will be months fore they bloom! Boo hoo.

Suzy, just looked at the ORANGE and I like it a lot. cheerful, reminds me of a beautiful sunrise.

Vici, I hope Mike can get his tower repaired locally, and inexpensively. Let me know how it works out, please.

ROLANDA, I made your steak and pineapple curry, my house smells yummy. It has been a while since I made it. I used meatballs instead of steak, cause that is what I had thawed. did that once before and it worked well. Al came in saying That smells Yummy hehehe, He is so easy, gastronomically speaking. The recipe is in the recipe files if anyone is interested.

Morning MizT. That sounds yummy. I don't think hubby would like it though, he doesn't like pineapple. Maybe I should try it on Mondays when he isn't home..

Back from the Dentist. The new teeth look great. They're made from Cubic Zirconia!!!! They will not break. Never heard of teeth being made from that before.

No calves born while I was gone. I hate leaving the cows alone during calving season.

Suzy.... my vote is a "YUCK". Is your hubby's name "Peter"? As in..... Peter, Peter, pumpkin eater. Had a wife and couldn't keep her. Put her in a pumpkin shell, and there he kept her very well.
Too much Pumpkin for me.
