and Suzy.

I didn't pay any more than i normally do for crowns. This was my Dentists idea. She knows how often I break teeth.

Came back to vent... When I said there were 3 doors into our lounge room, I was wrong - there are 4. On the east end, where I am trying to paint trim, there are floor to ceiling windows, broken up into 6 panes, plus the door, broken up into 2. All those edges have to be sanded, washed and taped before I can even begin painting... Just when I think I'm done, I find something I've missed! Why do you think hubby left me with this bit??????

Good morning lovely SA7 people - 415 pages - Wow!
Hope to be able to join in more today. I hate being too busy to visit my friends here.
Just got to check eBay for pavers. Some pensioners asked Colin to help them with some odd jobs - they want a small area paved but are short of cash. We're trying to source cheap second hand pavers. Col's got 2 big jobs today - gives me some peace, not having him underfoot all the time, too.

Found 1 lot of pavers - they may suit.
Rolanda - hope your cholesterol is OK.
Suzy - that's what I hate about painting - the fiddly bits. Our house needs repainting inside but I just can't stand the upheaval. I might go away and leave hubby to do it himself.

Heidi - if you break so many teeth, maybe, instead of cubic zirconia, the dentist should have made them out of these - they'd be impossible to break.
Congrats on the twin calves and the explanation of a freemartin (was that right?) - as someone said, we learn something new each day with Heidi on site.

A Wee Scottish Tale

A man is cupping his hand to scoop water from a Highland burn.

A Gamekeeper shouts,
'Dinnae drink tha waater! Et's foo ae coo's sheet an pish!'

The man replies,
'My Good fellow, I'm from England . Could you repeat that in English for me.'

The keeper replies,

'I said, use two hands - you spill less that way!!!

I know I said I was going but I just wanted to say that I was so moved when Heath Ledger won the supporting Oscar - never saw the film but it was a nice tribute to his entire body of work.
Thrilled also for Kate Winslet - about time too.

Oh yuk Rolanda - I always have that trouble too. The blood bank told me years ago - 'thanks but no thanks - too hard to find a vein' - so I have never donated blood.

Hi Cyn, hope I haven't missed you.

Rolanda and Cyn, I have the opposite problem, the blood comes out so fast I get faint! It's better since the op though so they forgive me... still nag me though

There must have been a traffic problem nearby!!
The traffic was banked up for miles!!
Fortunately I was going in the opposite direction.
By the time I went the peak traffic is usually cleared.
and I went home the long way to avoid the stop ! start! crawling along!

Maybe you had something happen like the accident in Melbourne today, the rescuers there are calling it something I can't remember but which means it could have been much much much worse if it hadn't been morning tea time.

Hi Suzy - still here, when I should be clearing my in-tray.
Rolanda - probably an accident or roadworks. I can't go in any direction from here without striking roadworks. I try to keep calm because I know when they're done, it'll be good. But it's so disruptive!

I'm on the laptop at the moment and the desktop screensaver is scrolling through photos of the girls when they were teeny tiny. You should see the photo of Ebob getting her first baseball trophy! I can't believe she was big enough to hold a bat!!

I think the movie (Batman) is coming onto Foxtel Box Office soon - I'll see it then but I suspect it would have been better in a cinema. I couldn't get over how much better 'Mamma Mia' was in the cinema than on DVD on a TV screen and ours is fairly big but it lost something in the translation.

My guess an accident heading towards the Freeway !!
Cynthia, it's the main road we travelled down ,when we left our estate, to get to the Freeway, when we took you and Colin back to your Hotel from our place.

Gave up on the idea of a nap. The phone kept ringing, then another cow gave birth..... yet another heifer. Then one of the cows was bellowing 'cause her calf went through the fence and wouldn't come back, so I had to retrieve it.

Instead, I'll watch a DVD.
