Hi, I'm back. Unbelievably my jaw is still sore. However, I did go to the dentist for a cleaning yesterday and that might have something to do with it. I considered canceling because it was still not 100%. She was very careful around the last tooth on that side. Said it is healing nicely. Stitches have fallen out.

Also took mom to her doctor. He sent her for more blood work. She also has to go for ultrasound and a CAT scan. Need appointments for those two. Next Friday for ultrasound. Need to go out of town for the CAT scan. At least it is closer than where I went for my tooth, a one hour drive instead of three. So basically still waiting for answers. I do hope we get some soon.

Morning all,
Rena, glad to hear things are going well with your teeth, hopefully you are down to low level pain killers now. I really hope things are sorted with your mum soon. Good luck with the drive.

Broni, I love it! If all of that stuff is so psychologically damaging, why are we all okay? Or maybe we're not??????

Tami, I hope the lie wasn't too bad. Meaning not the kind that can make it into the media and ruin careers. Here there seems to be a law or rule, possibly union guidelines, that a teacher's name cannot be released until allegations are investigated - good rule! The latest one here is that a teacher tied a kindergartener to a chair because he wouldn't stop misbehaving.

Broni, I was rereading brung up right because I couldn't resist - yes, I spent 4 years in a fibro house. And you reminded me of a phenomenon we have down here. If the shops are going to be closed for a day, everyone goes loony, it's like they have to buy 3 weeks worth of shopping just in case the shops never open again!!

Hi all. Today was a lot of fun. Student claims her cell phone was stolen yesterday, that a boy took it out of her purse. Her story changed several times. The last story was that I sent her to the bathroom and told her to leave her purse. First, we are an escort only school and I did not call an escort, nor did she ask to go to the bathroom. Second, I would never tell a girl to leave her purse. There might be something in there that she needs. Found out the truth today. She was texting on the school bus in the morning and left her phone on the bus. She did not want her mom to know so she made up all these stories. She also "named" the boy who she thinks stole her phone and another boy who knew what happened. Her mom thinks she is an angel, she is really a little b**ch and her mom better wake up.

Rotten little cow - why involve innocent others in your lies? I hope her mother is told the truth about the phone...

Escort only to go to the bathroom? Wow. That feels extreme.. though I could see some problems that it would solve.

Wait a minute.... She accused somebody of a crime they did not commit, and she knew they did not do it??? Shouldn't she be punished for that? What a b*tch!!!

Suzy, to go anywhere on campus, except during class change, the students need an escort. I can see a boys and girls bathroom from my door and if the escort does not arrive quickly, I will sometimes let them run. I work in an area not a lot of people want to go to. The students do not take pride in the school and this cuts down on vandalism.

Heidi, little miss will be facing the consequences. She not only lied about a crime, she also lied about two faculty members. Her mother thinks she is an angel that can do no wrong. I hope this wakes mom up. She will be facing consequences, possibly a suspension. Mom will love that

I don't usually like seeing kids get in trouble but in this case it might teach her a lesson.

I think a suspension would suit her just fine. She needs to learn that there are always consequences for ones actions. Accusing others of committing crimes IS a crime itself, and slander is also a crime. Lying about the teachers is also a disciplinary problem that can't be tolerated.

Good morning all - calling in without reading to wish you all a wonderful Easter, however you plan on spending it. I know I've already missed June. Not sure if Rolanda's gone yet. We're staying home but are busy every day but Saturday! Having Anzac Day in amongst it all makes it busier too - 3 things on that day - phew!

This School holiday has been a busy one for me - I've already had Hayley and Lachlan here overnight. I promised Chloe she could have a sleepover, then Madeline asked for one tonight, Chloe than asked for tonight as well, Haylay would feel left out if she missed Maddie so I asked her, then decided Emily would also feel left out too. Overall result - all 4 girls tonight - it will be mayhem!

Tami - what a horrible kid that student must be! Made worse (aren't they all, kids like that?) by a mother who doesn't believe her child can do wrong.

Tami, a suspension might do the mother good - though she will probably be like the ones who intimidated our primary school principal and fight it to the death!

Cyn, hope you have a relaxing Saturday! I saw the guys out selling Anzac badges this morning. I'll pick one up when I go back later - though I really really really don't want to. Not only is it pension day, but tomorrow is good Friday so everyone is doing their 'the shops might never open again' shop.

Tami, one of the schools hubby went to in LA was in one of 'those' areas so I asked him if they had escorts. He said no, but times were a little different then. But, he said, the girls vice principal did have her throat cut during the riots when one of the civil rights leaders was killed....yikes!

I actually feel safe in my school and the neighborhood. This kid will get what is coming to her. She will learn.
There were riots in Miami when I was growing up. To prevent problems, they shut the entire school system down for two days. I went back for "half-days" on Wednesday and Thursday. Friday I got to stay home as we left that day for a short vacation. Great school week. Two half-days.

I was scared during and after the Northridge quake, but I have never been as scared as I was during the LA riots when the police got off after beating Rodney King. I couldn't even speak when I found out they were right next door to my work building. The building had a research lab downstairs with all kinds of solvents and nasty nasty things. Then to go to the grocery store next door to our apartment complex and have to walk past armed guards to get in...

That's why the closed the schools for 2 days. They were scared the riots in the city would carry over into the schools. I just got lucky and had a really short week.

Considering he rarely ever contributes anything to household expenses, claiming he doesn't have any money, what makes him think that I'd believe he could repay me $3,000.00 in 2 months (his suggestion!) and still contribute to paying bills? Of COURSE he was gonna renege on it. What could I do, take him to court?

Rolanda - enjoy your second weekend in a row away - and in such a beautiful area. My cousin still lives there at Busselton. He's a jeweller - I think the only one in town, well in the shopping centre there.

Hi everyone.

Happy Easter.

I'm about to get busier - end of month is about to start and I need to be out of here at 4:30. We sorted out my work computer problem this morning so today I LOVE MY COMPUTER.

Rolanda, I think the scarf is about 1.5 metres long - as long as 4 balls of wool. Enjoy your weekend away.

Cyn, Happy Granddaughter minding during the "sleep over". You know they won't sleep very much at all.

Heidi, good luck with IH. I'm glad he's yours and not mine. Have you found a good way to dispose of the body yet?

I may get back but possibly not until Monday (and if not then it will be after Labour Day).

Disposal of the body isn't a problem. I have the perfect way. It an airtight alibi that I need so that nobody suspects me of doing the world a favor.

T storms north of us tonight, will get here about 3 am. I am not staying up to watch them. No history of tornadoes with this system, and they do usually weaken without the heat of the day. but so much lightning and thunder, we may be awakened. Better get to bed early and sleep while I can.

Vicki, so glad the work computer is sorted out, it is a good thing when you love your puter.

Rolanda, enjoy your weekend away, you lucky girl.

Tami, glad the truth about the student came out, and I hope her Mother wakes up to what that daughter is capable of doing. The students are allowed their cell phones in school? The last I heard, students could not bave a cell phone in our schools.

CynB, hope you survive the sleep over. things like this, your grandies will remember forever, so think about that when you have to go in for the third time to tell them to be quite

I love the Easter avatars, they are so cheerful and spring like.

Bed time, hugs to all, with extras.

Good Evening, Everyone! I hope you're all well!

Rolanda, have fun on the weekend! Of course, first you have all the things that must be done and errands to run! I agree - no Easter eggs purchased and none expected here either. Grandies are several states away & books purchased for them and set aside while there for our last visit. Wow, you have Skype now too! Hubby just doesn't think we need it. Well, I guess HE doesn't need it.

Broni, I hope Possum is doing well and feels the support of all of us thinking of him - and you! The "We Was Brung Up Proper" is SO accurate! It's amazing how much the world has changed in the past 30 or 40 years!

Theresa, I hope you have a wonderful, warmer, sunny blue sky day tomorrow to help you feel less blah! This has been a long drawn-out winter! (My hubby, who really doesn't like to be away from home, said today he's thinking of taking a week in January or February next year to go somewhere warmer. That's so unlike him, but it shows how the weather is getting to everyone!) Are you getting enough sleep? Please take care of yourself, Sweetie! {{{{HUGS}}}}}

Tami, I hope you were able to enjoy the assembly this morning, and then everything got straightened out with the student who lied! That's another thing to add to Broni's "essay" about being brought up proper. I just can't imagine spreading lies about a teacher! Thinking of you today! {{{{{HUGS}}}}}

Woo Hoo! Brenda and Rolanda got to have a Skype chat! Sounds like fun!

Tami and MizT (and others who enjoy the Cadbury eggs), this may sound blasphemous, but I have never had one. I'd be tempted to buy one for myself, but MizT and Al agree that they're not as good as they used to be. Maybe I should buy myself a Reese's Peanut Butter egg instead?

MizT, no thank you for the rain! We were just commenting today about how water is just sitting on top of the ground in areas that we don't even consider to be low areas. My home town is having some rather major flooding - at least as high as it was about 45 years ago. I hope it passes you, too!

Welcome back, Rena! It's so good to see you here! So sorry that your jaw is still sore, hopefully just from today's cleaning! Thinking of both you and your Mom and hoping the additional tests will find nothing serious, maybe just something minor and easily remedied! Sending positive thoughts and {{{{{HUGS}}}}}

I'm going to post this quickly so I don't miss too many of you. May all of you who celebrate and/or acknowledge Easter have a Happy Easter!
