Tricia I did get your message on TOS.. thank you.
Julie .. my week is getting better thank you
Have been wanting to tell you that I have a box with an incredible fire rating.. just have to remember where I put it... now who is surprised..

After a considerable number of hiccups my passport application went in.. if I find my old one within 3 or is it 12 months I may be eligible for a refund of the $105 fee that they added to encourage me to be more careful... there is a sliding scale depending on how many that you lose..

I'm sitting in the dining room typing and have been chatting to so many people.. other conference delegates.. there is a very large contingent of lovely people staying here to have breakfast with and walk with in the morning. Like minded people.

Best get to bed.. this was just to be a quick log in to check my mail and had to check for news from June.

Oh, no, Broni! Allergic to penicillin isn't good, but at least you now know. By the way, WHAT is normal?

Suzy.... I'm really worried that you're overexerting yourself. Do the people in charge of assignments know about your recent strokes? There may only be one day left, but it's a lulu. I hope I'm just overly concerned.

The back is still very tender, and I need to plant a couple of small bushes today. Unfortunately, it just started raining. But I'm not upset. Compared to being around Helene, this is a walk through the park on a sunny spring day.

Good Morning to all wherever you may be.
I've had a bit of luck with my puter..a friend had a friend help me out and while not perfect, it's pretty good again.
I'm good except for a few allergies acting up, but am saddened by so many of you who are faced with loss and illness of friends and family. Hugs and wishing for all comfort possible to those who are making their way towards a freedom from sickness and pain. May the love of others make it more bearable. To those who are seemingly over stressed from too much, too soon, I do hope rest and time will allow you to feel better( Suzy and Heidi). Broni, penicillin allergy is not good news, glad you figured it out and are feeling somewhat better...but normal? Bean, happy you have a short bit of diversion and are able to take part in the conference. Tricia, I simply want to say how happy your move has made all of us feel about your new lifestyle....your post and your safety in bad weather. We too are comforted that you no longer have to run into domes to get to safety. Julie, how's the cello practice going? Since you have managed to get your tax work gathered, I'm assuming you have had a bit more time to practice. Are you still caring for your grand-puppy? Inquiring minds you know.Vi, Theresa, Judy, and Tami...I don't remember reading much from any of you recently, but do hope life is not giving you too hard a time either physically or emotionally.
Well, I'm now going to the other site for awhile, but most likely return to read later...Stay well my friends..I think of you often with peace and love.♥

Sorry Bean, no time to contact you this weekend. Too many things buzzing around in my head so I could not get to sleep. Just had a hot chocolate and a seldom taken sleeping pill. Back to bed to see if they work!
Pleased your computer is working again Mamacita.

Theresa, that is no forecast for spring, brrrr. I was just looking at weather map, and Little Rock Arkansas (now on the back side of the storm and in the cold front that follows the storm) is now having mixed precipitation, freezing stuff with rain. REALLY unusual for that far south this late in the spring.

It is overcast and humid here, already at the high for the day. Rain has not yet entered Alabama, but this storm system covers Mississippi from border to border, then half of Arkansas too, really a wide, slow moving giant of a mess. Flash flooding watches, because it is so slow moving, up to 2 inches of rain in a few hours. I did hope it would get here and be gone before dark, storms at night just seem worse to me.

June, this 'just waiting for her to stop breathing' has to be so hard on all of you. Hugs dear. I am not surprised you had trouble getting to sleep, hope the sleeping pill worked as it should. I hope Laura can be a pleasant distraction from this waiting.

Mama, good to see you drop in, and you are not nearly as happy over my new lifestyle as I am hehehe. I sort of like this place. It is so convenient to everything. I filled my gas tank yesterday, first time in over 2 months, cause I do not have to go far when I go out.

HEIDI, hopefully the soft rain will make diging your holes for bushes easier. the rain and clouds will give bushes a good start, planting new stuff in heat and sun does stress them.

BEAN, glad the application for passport went in, all hiccups cleared. I do hope now you find the old one and get your refund.

OH, I checked our activities calendar today. There was a field trip this morning, to a crematorium. No thank you, not something I am interested in seeing, and I do wonder whose idea this was. I was not awake early enough to see how many left on the bus for this ghoulish trip.

I feel a nap coming on. It is dark cloudy outside, and a nap is a good thing on a day like today.

So much with trying to sleep. The dogs are going nuts outside. They treed a raccoon in the yard and are not going to let it leave alive. The only way to end the noise would be to take my gun out there and shoot it. But then I'd have to deal with a dead or dying raccoon in the yard at 3:30 am. I have no idea how IH is sleeping through the noise, or I'd make him go out and shoot the raccoon instead. But then, the noise of gunfire might wake the neighbors, if the dogs haven't.

Evening all,
I've just read the last 2 pages, realised that on my first pass through the first half of 623 I missed half the posts - must have read it at school.... apologies to those who had already answered the questions I asked!!

June, still thinking of you! Big hugs... it's a bummer you can't come down here, but we will be going up to Wollongong Tuesday to Friday next week anyway so I'd kind of rather you came later in the year so I get to see more of you.

Cyn, sending vibes to Jimmy (and you). So glad you had a nice dinner.

Theresa, Your weather sounds very cool. It feels like the seasons have shifted a little - colder later and warmer later too.

MizT, I wouldn't like that field trip either. I suppose it was for people who are looking to pre-purchase their funeral so they could see if they liked the facility. It is wonderful to hear about the good parts of your new life - like not having to sleep in a recliner in the dome!

2 weeks holiday! And when it's over I'll be complaining about not having any work..

Teaching is not a job you can ask for a break with. If you have a six period day, you teach 6 periods.. if there is cross country you supervise cross country.

I ended up just letting the dogs go hoarse with barking. They eventually did wake IH, and I told him why they were going so nuts. He was surprised that I had gone outside and investigated the problem, to the extent that I saw the raccoon in the small crab apple tree. The tree is only 10 ft. high, and the leaves are just coming out on it, so the raccoon had nowhere to hide. It's also a couple of feet from the fence, so I suspect that the 'coon jumped for it and escaped around dawn, when the barking stopped. I wonder why I'm so tired today.

Storm went through here with no damage, no power outages. We had a small rain shower out ahead of the storm front, that robs the atmosphere of energy, and reduces the chances of severe weather. there was a big tornado on the ground in Mississippi with damage and I believe one killed. I have not looked at news this morning to see if there were others later. I know my niece and my sister in NW Georgia were under tornado warning for a bit last night, hope no one was injured from that one.

Heidi, I do believe I would have walked out there and shot that raccoon, him or the dogs one! Don't mess with my dream time!! Hope the vet trip for the puppies goes well tomorrow. How many did you say she had, I am thinking 7. Will you be selling the puppies, or just giving them to good homes? I knew, from you, that collies did not have to be rough coat or only sable. That was all I had seen, Lassie on TV and our collie, who we started calling Baby while deciding on her registered name. She was never called anything else all her life.

SUZY, I do hope you enjoy your 2 weeks holiday, and rest up successfully from the last two weeks. You deserve a nice rest.

Morning Theresa, is it any warmer there today? We are cooler, not yet 60 degrees today, but would be light jacket kind of day, perhaps warming enough to remove it by mid afternoon.

OK, someone give me motivation, I really need to go to bank today. It would not take long, I do not have to get out of the car, it is a beautiful sunny day outside. come on, help me find other reasons to go get it done today hehehe.

Tonight we have a play to attend. NOPE, not next door at the community theater with semi professional actors. It will be here in our day room, actors are the EP Players (residents), author is one of our residents. She wrote a one act play and they produced it back in the winter, this I guess you could call act 2. It will be held tonight and again tomorrow afternoon, as they had to turn away some audience last time for lack of space. My friend Sue is in it again. Play practice has kept her from joining me at the pool for a while now, perhaps we can start going together again next week.

Hugs to each of you, with extras. Till later.

He wanted me to let him have my supply of horse hay (50 lb. bales) to feed to the cows. Unfortunately, I need it for the horses, and once I give IH permission to touch a single bale, he helps himself to it whenever he wants. The last load in the horse barn vanished after I stupidly told him that he could have a grand total of 20 bales over the entire winter, and not a single bale more. Period! 200+ bales quickly vanished, once he decided that I meant 20 at a time. I had no hay for my horses when I needed it. So now I have to give him an absolute ''NO! Not a single bale, not even for an emergency.'' and get very nasty about it. I even had to pull a gun on him once to keep him away from my horse hay. I don't consider this an emergency, anyway. The cows have plenty of grazing with all the grass growing now.

MizT, the weather here is colder than normal for this time of year, we are into the minus numbers. The weather is nasty and the school busses have been cancelled. It's still a mix of freezing rain, rain and snow. This morning I walked the girls to the daycare and I almost fell a couple of times. That plus I had a hard time with the oldest grandie ... great start to the day. I get to do it all over again later this afternoon. I had to dig out my winter hat, mitts, etc. this morning. Thank goodness hubby didn't have the winter tires removed yet. In case anyone is wondering, this is not typical weather for us at this time. By now usually people are out barbecuing, wearing summer clothes, and doing all those other summery things. Sigh ........

The cows are fed now and are happily munching on their hay. The mechanic had no problem fixing the tractor.... it was simple... mud had gotten all over the battery contacts and wouldn't let it fire up. Farron just scraped the contacts clean and it started. I love easy and cheap.

Good morning folks!
June, so sorry to hear about your mother-in-law - may she have a peaceful passing.
Well we've all been sick as dogs round here, but hopefully we're over the worst ... ? So, yesterday we met the specialist to hear the latest news and he seemed pretty happy - in fact, when I asked him if I might ever drive again he said 'No problem, but have some practise sessions first!' It seems that the brain tumour has disappeared, and though it will need monitoring it should be no further problem! There were a few happy tears from everyone ...
Looking forward to seeing Gail at the party on the weekend. Hope you all have a great day! :)

Hi all.

Judy, glad to hear some good news for a change.

June, keeping you and your family in my thoughts at this time. I know it is not easy but I hope it is peaceful.

Heidi, if I didn't have Harley, I would be tempted to drive up and get a puppy. I don't think Harley wants to share our attention.

Don't have much else to say

Judy, that is fantastic news!! My driving was much better after this stroke than it was after the first one. I think it depends on which part of the brain is affected. Practice sounds like the perfect way to find out how you are going to go. I will tell you though that you have to watch your insurance. If I ever cause an accident and haven't notified the RTA (it didn't mention my insurance company) that I've had a stroke my insurance could be voided. The wording is 'something that could affect your ability to drive safely or something like that) Unfortunately nobody down here knows how to do the check to clear me for driving so for now I've kept it a secret from the RTA... fingers crossed I don't regret that!

I need to get the front seat of my truck cleaned out to fit the puppies and Sandy in there, get the heater going in there, load up and take off. The drive itself is only 5 miles, just on the other side of Magnolia.
It's a cool morning.... 39℉ when I got up, and 48℉ now. It's supposed to reach a high of 65℉, and remain sunny all day.

Beautiful sunsshiny day here today. I need to get outside and enjoy, cause after today we have rain forecast for 6 days. I will grow roots in 6 days of wet hehehe. I did get to bank yesterday, also saw the veggie man and got fresh vegetables to steam for dinner tonight. It is so nice to be able to shop in our parking lot. We can get small quantities also, none of the pre packaged units that often have more than one person can eat fore it spoils.

I did not go to the play performance last night, they present it again at 2 pm. I need to take a shower, shampoo and get this hair under control. I shall return later to read and reply.

Hugs to each of you, with extras.
