Reading on page 10 at the moment.

About the epidural pain block, don't hold your breath. My doc nurse called to schedule for me, but since I had not been to my doc, I have to go in to see the pain doc. Pain management was to call me, they did not. I phoned, spent 10 minutes on hold, then a young man came on saying Diane, the appointment lady was by herself again today, if I would leave name and number . . . told him, she was to have phoned me yesterday, I would hold, thank you.

OH, she can get me in on Wednesday. A week away? Tried explaining my need, but the doc is only in that office on Wednesday, and 7:30 am the only appointment left. I take it but will try to find out some way to do this sooner.

AFTER I see the doc, then they can contact insurance for approve, and I forget how long insurance has to make a decision, but lately they routinely take every last day of it. You might get well, or die in that m=amount of time, you know. I had forgot that part, aaaaaggh! I might get this done by next month some time.

Back is not getting better on it's own, at times hurts so badly I get nauseated, you know what I mean, Heidi. Today i thought of going to urgent care or ER, but they would just refer me to pain management, back where I am now. I do have pain meds, but I get so groggy and forgetful taking enough to do any good. today I was baking chicken, and instead of turning oven off, I just set it on time back and it continued cooking. Knob has 3 settings plus off, and I turned it wrong way. Life is eventful here at the moment.

back to reading, perhaps I will not write a book next post hehehe.

Welcome to the world of Pain Management, MizT. They're under such demand that it's really hard to get an appointment quickly. You need to talk to them about getting on a regular schedule. Three months works well for me. Usually the previous epidural wears off a couple of days before the next one is scheduled. Occasionally I can go longer.

Afternoon all,
Just back from lunch with a friend, which was noice. Alie is going to the movies with a friend tonight and is going to their house straight from school so it is just hubby and I tonight - practicing for when we are empty nesters...

MizT, I'm sorry about the delays to your epidural. The system seems all wrong!

Tami, hope all goes well at your appointments...

Suzy.... It's just that there are so few doctors qualified for pain management, and such a huge demand for them. There have been times when I had to wait for 6 hours in the waiting room for my epidural, because of having to squeeze in emergencies.

The lack of qualified doctors doesn't explain the insurance companies waiting as long as possible to approve the procedure Heidi...

What about the insurance companies denying flood/boat damage claims for no reason and then having to wait even longer to get the report about why they have? They just hope to string you out long enough and then it becomes too hard. This is mainly because they have re-insured overseas and they have no money either.
Or.....I may have it all wrong, they are on our side right?

While I am on my soapbox, Poss phoned Workers Comp to let them know he had been called down to Sydney because his mother is failing fast and he would not be able to go physio up here, they said they would cut/suspend his payments, go figure?
OK, off my soapbox now.
Luv and Hugs to you all.

Broni that is disgraceful, but to be honest to be expected. These organisations just love to cut benefits. Have I missed something with the boat, has Possum's boat insurers refused to pay out on his boat?

Talking of black cockies, two days ago I had a photo of some in a dead tree at Belinda's place on Tough.
Went and saw Mil today. She had a very bad cold a couple of weeks ago but now seems much better and had been to Bingo this morning and Won!

And just had a phone call from 8 year old grandson to say they won their baseball grand final and then went to Big M to celebrate. He is playing in an under 12 team.(He lives in Melbourne so we could not see the game).

I was ironing this morning and hubby came and told me to stop as I was using more power than we were generating. We recently had solar panels installed. I thought it was a great excuse to turn off the iron.

Broni, what a bummer when Possum tried to do the right thing.
Suzy, if I had that much coffee I would be awake all night. We have had some rain tonight(after I had watered all the front garden) but need a lot a lot more as the ground is so dry.
I see on easy that Anne met up with eaa in Albany today.

I consider the behavior of insurance companies to be inexcusable bordering on the criminal. They endanger the lives and welfare of people over numbers and loopholes. They have no business overruling or delaying the treatments that a doctor believes that a patient needs. The doctor is the one who knows the case and the patient, and should be the only one to make those decisions. (except oversight by a hospital and/or medical board to prevent malpractice.)

IH came in, on his way out the door, to tell me that there are no new calves, but there is an untagged calf out there. Hey, IH!! That means it's a new calf!!!

I did not see a single untagged calf.

Back from taking load # 2 to the scrapyard. Later, Robert and I will sort more cow/calf pairs.

I just did a thorough check. Calf # 615 lost it's ear tag. The hole is very easily visible. That's what caused the problem. What's funny is that I saw the tag in that calf's ear yesterday.

Morning all, I'll take that coffee now..

June, I went over to tough and checked out your picture - the cheat way of course. I like your solar panels if they get you out of ironing! The half strength coffee tasted fine so I think I'll go with those in future.

JUNE, I love that excuse for turning off the iron. Now, hope he will check out consumption when you are flinging food tonight and tell you to stop, then take you to dinner hehehe. Congrats to your grandson!!!

Broni, leave your soap box out please, may be climbing on myself. So not right about Poss, the therapy and the benefits.

Heidi, I agree wholeheartedly. Insurance companies are practicing medicine without a license. They should be prosecuted for it same as you or I would be for doing the same. (told ya Broni, I did indeed need your soap box, thanks for the use.)
