Our life's a stage, a comedy: either learn to play and take it lightly, or bear its troubles patiently.

The meaning of crazy is NOT talking to yourself... or even ANSWERING yourself... it's asking yourself to repeat what you just said cause you werent paying attention.

Alie says all of her friends are posting that the big kid in the bullying video is a legend. I just find it all very sad.

Speaking of which, one of her friends was involved in something similar this week and she had to write up what she saw. A disabled boy went ballistic and kicked her male friend multiple times, twice where it hurts, and her friend ended up punching him to stop it. So far he has not been suspended, but because the boy is disabled who knows what will happen.

I had so much I was going to do to day but got very little done.
The good thing was that I heard from my friends in Japan and all the family is OK. They live in the Yokohama area so I was concerned but thought they would probably be OK. We are concerned for another friend who lived with my sister for nearly 12 months and she has not been able to contact her. Hopefully it is just because she has lost internet coverage.

MizT and Theresa, you are both in my special thoughts. Hugs to everyone else. Viv did ask after you all and wanted to know what is happening to you all. She is doing very well with the Avon.

Morning all - slept quite well. Aches and pains are mostly gone, just stiffness left. Have to finish oldest grandie's room today. Hubby is working tonight - another long day.

Hugs MizT. I can't really fix only one supper because tastes are so varied and hours so different. I do most of our cooking on the weekends and make frozen meals for hubby. Tonight I will make chicken for my D - coated and on the Foreman grill - she loves it. She is having 2 colleagues from work come over for the afternoon today.

Doctor told my daughter she can no longer have a job where she is standing, which is the job she had. She doesn't know what she's going to do yet because there really aren't a lot of "sitting" jobs in the large box store where she works. Time will tell ......

Have a good time, Gail.

Off to get breakfast for the gang next door. I was over earlier to help D get up and to feed her pets.

Grandie wants her computer back for now - hopefully I can get it back later today. How dare she ask for HER computer back!!!!

Theresa, glad things seem to be working out. I am sure they will figure something out about work. I understand about varied tastes and times. I am not organized enough to plan meals ahead and freeze. Someday I will learn.

Mitchell went to the doctor today for his finger and was given a clean bill of health. Hopefully we won't have to go back to this doctor for a loooong time.

Just lost another long post - will have to plug the keyboard in again, (I lost posts when I accidentally touch the touch pad while typing)but I hate all the wires all over the place.

Tami, good news about Mitchell's finger. I too hope you don't see a doctor for a while. The only meal I freeze is meatloaf because I make 2 at a time.

Theresa, if your grandie doesn't take the computer to school maybe you can negotiate a deal?? I don't want to lose you...

June, I hope it is only the power problems preventing your sister from contacting her friend.

Hugs to everyone

We took Harley out for a drive and stopped for frozen custard. They have a dog cup. It is a cup of vanilla with a doggie cookie on top. I should have taken a picture. They bowl looked like nothing was ever in it when he was done. Monday's are dog appreciation night. Dogs get free bowl of custard when accompanied by a human.

I am tired. I've had a stressful day and accomplished only a little. First, robert and I finished loading up the flat trailer with scrap iron, and discovered that there was a flat tire which we temporarily fixed. Then we drove 45 minutes to the scrapyard with it, only to find it closed today. So Robert decided to make a call to see if a scrapyard in Louisville was open, only to discover that he'd lost his cell phone. So we drove back home, with the scrap iron, and searched for his cell phone. We finally found it in a pile of scrap tin that we're taking in on the next load. We decided to give up on that and sort cow calf pairs into another pasture. The cows and calves decided not to cooperate, and kept splitting up and running in opposite directions. After 2 hours, we only got 2 pairs sorted and moved. We were too tired to do any more. I then came back in the house only to have IH walk up to me and tell me that he hasn't been paying my health insurance this year, and they were about to cancel my policy. (IH claims that the ONLY expense he's responsible for is the health insurance.) So I have to come up with $3,000 in the next 2 days to pay all the premiums he didn't pay. I should have stayed in bed today.

Both my boys got haircuts today. They had been growing their hair long but got fed up. They both look so handsome. They go to an old fashioned barber shop. I asked Mitchell if he wanted his first shave but he said he was not ready yet. He does have a little bit of a mustache and some fuzz on his chin.

Heidi, I am so sorry about all that has happened today. I hope you have the money for the insurance. That is one thing you need. IH should have to come up with it but I doubt that will happen.

I just called Heidi on skype as it sounded like she needed a friend. As I called her, IH called on the phone and said there was a cow in labor so she had to go check. Hopefully we will here some good news soon.

Nope. IH can't tell the difference between a cow in hard labor and a cow just laying down. Nobody is in labor, and no new calves. At least I got some more cows with calves moved.

I think I deserve a nice dinner tonight. I'm trying to decide what I want to make for myself. I'm not going to worry about what IH wants.

Yes, Heidi, a good dinner is just what you need, after such a trying day today. Did Gill say why he has not been paying your insurance?? He does some really dumb things sometimes, but this one takes first place.

busy day today and not yet finished. I did find a few to sit and rest, with a cuppa, needed a pick me up.

Doc office did not phone me about the epidural, I will have to phone them tomorrow. sometimes they just call scheduling people and that person is to phone me for times I can come. they might be waiting in insurance approval, Or it could have slipped through the cracks. I shall phone to make sure it has not.

Heidi, I we not sure if yours epi was X ray guided or not, The "put to sleep" is twilight sleep, but the Pain Center I used last time does not use the Versed that I cannot take. I forget the name of the one they use, but it works just as it should. One second I am awake, next I am asleep and I wake up instantly back in my "room". Well it is a room, but tiny and empty except for one hard chair and the bed/gurney with me lying on it.

Theresa, does your daughters family eat foods cooked in a slow cooker? those come in handy sometimes for me. Hope you can arrange some time every day you can borrow grandies notebook and chat with us,

Al has got more fluids in today, almost up to the minimum I want him to have. I leave a glass of juice on his chair side table and he has emptied it today and asked for more. all vie feeding tube, mind you. I am so glad he does the feedings himself, I just get them ready for him.

spent some $$$ today to make life easier for Tricia. I bought liquid iron and liquid ibuprofen, and he now has melt on the tongue pills for nausea. Now, only his sleep med, one time at night, has to be crushed and dissolved. It was worth every penny it cost, too.

Time to pour and measure meds once again. Hugs to each and every one of you here and extras to those who need them. I am thinking about you all, even if I did not rely to your comment. NOT lack of interest, just lack of time.

Good maEn everyone!
Went to my first Red Hat Society meeting. The lady who runs it, Marilou, lives a few houses away and across the street from me.
I got my red hat (thanks to Marilou) and had a VERY nice lunch at Sostanza (my favorite!!) We meet once a month (3rd Wednesday of the month). Nice to get out of the house for a couple of hours and bond with some TERRIFIC women!

Gekko,
Heidi, when you pay the health insurance are you paying Gil's too? How is Robert's daughter? Grandchild?

Tami, it's funny here, both hubby and I think of meatloaf as 'poor man's food' and shake our heads every time the kids love it. It must be the way I make it! BTW it's not poor man's food anymore, not with ground beef about $11 a kilo.

Evening all.

Heidi, I still think an electric cattle prod for IH would be handy .....

My SonIL is off work tomorrow, so hopefully I can get a few things done here. Helped clean D's place today before her company came (scrubbed bathroom, swept, etc.) Their supper is done and eaten and now I am working on hubby's supper.

MizT, when I get a job I want to get a slow cooker so that when I get home in the evenings supper will be ready.

The keys on this notebook are so close together that I keep making mistakes. Instead of hitting the "a" I keep hitting caps lock.

Suzanne, my sister is a Red Hat lady and she loves it.

Off to get a few things done before hubby gets home.

Suzy, happy anniversary to you and the mister. The stuff on his chin is not noticeable, yet, unless you look closely. His mustache is still fine, but it is getting darker. I don't think he is ready to shave. I am not really sure if he likes it or not. He does not want to shave yet.

Have I told you my mother had a close encounter with the Kingsgrove Slasher? He was looking through her bedroom window when an insomniac neighbour challenged him and scared him away.
