I was just checking out the nest cam. I saw an empty nest, except for the eggs. In about a minute I saw the eagle fly back and land on the nest.

Hello all. I am using my grandie's notebook, but my fingers are too fat. My D has wireless so I am sitting in my kitchen close to their wall and it works.

D is in a fair bit of pain today. Hubby got a part-time job, he is currently at orientation for it.

RIP Screech.

Have not managed to read much - am spending the day cooking meals for during the week and swearing. I will be keeping the notebook here until my grandie notices it's missing. So hopefully I will be able to be here now and then.

Theresa, don't worry about reading. We will let you know the important stuff. Just stop in occasionally and let us know you are OK. Keeping you and your daughter in my thoughts.

Morning all,
Theresa, Alie has a school issued notebook. I haven't tried it yet. My wifi connection is not great this morning. Sloooow.

Tami, does your Dad know what your mother likes? Could that be why he chose chili?

Alie successfully navigated being harassed by multiple adults, unfriended and blocked the instigator - then threw up.

Good Morning my friends.
Well done Alie! Even though you threw up, it was your body letting you know you were stressed.
Theresa is that your hubby or D's hubby that got the part time job?

I have nothing but admiration for you, Alie. You handled those immature adults just right. You've shown that you're more grown up than they are.

Now she just has to deal with the daughter of the immature adult - we may get a call from the school that she has been in a fight.

Alie has shown a lot of maturity for a young girl. I am glad she did it on her own.

My dad does know what my mom likes but HE is the one that wanted chili. I don't think she had any.

Dylan just came in all sweaty from playing out side. He walks in the kitchen door and says he needs a drink. He walks through the kitchen and keeps going. Hubby asked where he is going. He had to make a pit stop first. Hubby joked about him going to the "little boys room" to get his drink.

Hi everyone. :)
Suzy, what the hell is wrong with those people? I just can't understand it, especially parents joining in the harassing! For Alie (♥)

I was out feeding cows and found a dead calf. A week old heifer calf from an experienced mother. This is why I dislike Spring calving. The weather is so funky that some calves just can't handle it. In 1 day we can have a 50 degree difference in temperatures with a lot of mud that saps the calfs energy reserves. Fall calving means we have to feed the cows a lot more because they're nursing calves, but the calves have a much higher survival rate.

Good for Allie!! Bullying is just plain WRONG, no matter the age of the bully...I know from past experience.

I had a buyer for Stubborn once he was on a bottle, but that looks like that won't happen. That little cost me a $200 sale.

We've always told our kids that hitting first makes you a bully, hitting to defend yourself prevents future bullying - though you will be suspended from school for a while.

Judy, on the internet it was ONLY parents doing the harassing. It was very very hard for me to sit there and let these adults get stuck into her. I'm glad I did though as Alie told me afterwards what she had said and she did a good job - she shouldn't have had to do a good job!

At least this time, Alie has a much better sense of self esteem. She knows that she has talent, and no lowlife bully can take that from her.

Evening, folks, a busy day today, I was longer at hospital cause no one else went today. BIL was "hurting and too tired today". Daughter went to visit a cousin. I went to hospital.

Doc left orders today, but we did not see her. Social worker is to work on getting medications for discharge, meds must be pricey. So if all gets done, they might let him go home sometime tomorrow. I cannot get there till late afternoon tomorrow. I have to go pick up food, and I am not gonna miss that. I do not think hospitals are yet so desperate for beds they sit discharged patients out at the curb if family Can not get there.

I have read, but cannot remember much.

Theresa, if daughter has wifi, and you can use it some areas of your house, could you not get your puter set up for wifi? I am thinking you just need a card to make it work, but can't ask my puter guru at the time.

OH, nice thing, his nurse today, the RN, wrote her cell phone number on his board, so he could phone her when he needed something, If he pushed the nurse call, they could not hear him, and would not send someone down. Her phone showed which room ws phoning, she knew he needed something, sometimes she could hear his whisper but always, she came right away to see what he needed. she was a GREAT nurse today.

Heidi, you have gone above and beyond with Stubborn. You have worked hard to feed him, now let him feed you, veal.

Suzy, so sorry Ali has been harassed so by older persons. I will not call them adults or parents, as they are not the former and should not be the later.

AAGGGGGGGGGGGH, my computer clock is wrong, will be wrong for 3 weeks till the OLD date for changeover. best get meds and get to beddy bye.

MizT, good idea about connecting T's computer to wifi. Hubby's computer is old and wasn't capable of picking it up, he bought an adapter thingy and is now online! Two problems with that. It has been so long since that computer had been online that he had to download a new antivirus program - and all of his software automatically updated. Plus we now have 3 computers online most of the time. Our allowance is being chewed up at a massive rate!!

I'm glad Al is well enough to come home, though I'm sorry things will be hectic for you again. The RN sounds wonderful and the other nurses pretty slack for not responding.

Suzy, I'm sorry Alie had to go through that cyber bullying. I can't understand why parents would react that way. Aren't they supposed to be the adults?

Theresa, lovely to see you posting. Hide that notebook away from the grandies so you can keep chatting to us.

We went to catch up with some friends yesterday. M has just had his second hip replacement (the other side) and he is only 53. He had the first one done in 2007. It was great catching up with them as they moved to Dubai in 2008, stayed there 2 years and now live in Townsville. We hadn't seen them since before they left.

So how do you get them to listen Gail? Time and time again something I told Dana would happen happened, but instead of making me a sage, I must have caused it...

YOU DID NOT CAUSE IT, Suzy!!! Dana has free will and made her own choices. You did what you could to give her a good foundation, but after that, it's up to Dana.

Suzy - they don't listen because they know everything!
Heidi is right - you've gave her a good foundation and that will eventually serve her well. She will come good.
In the meantime...... it's a waiting game and very difficult for you!

Gail, I was talking to Alie last night about China's one child program - she thought it was a good idea. I told her I was glad I had 2 or I wouldn't have had her. She grinned and said something teenagery about that being true. Not completely sure of the slang..
